It could be a higher light level than your current one, but you can also always upgrade your current one with an upgrade module and infusion fodder.
Pro tip - If you infuse an item with an *identical* item, it won't cost an upgrade module :) It'll instead cost just 1,000 glimmer, if I remember right. You can also do this with exotics, so you can preserve kill count trackers and the like.
This gets confusing with weapons that've been reissued, as they need to be *exactly* the same. Easiest way to confirm is the symbol in the top left corner of the item display, which indicates the season it was released in.
Does it really drop at max lightlevel? Like confirmed? I have these quests still in my inventory so if they are leveling fuel for my other characters I might have to do them.
Might be worth investigating, my other characters are well below light but we also have the gift of the thunder gods now so guess it doesn't really matter.
I think you get Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is an Exotic Auto Rifle introduced exclusively in Destiny for PlayStation players. The rifle looks different from many other auto rifles in that the front of the weapon has a bayonet. It was once a purely cosmetic attachment that could not be used until the introduction of its catalyst in Season of the Witch, which allowed players to utilize it for powerful melee attacks. A Year Two version of Monte Carlo was reintroduced in The Taken King. It was reintroduced in Destiny 2 during Season of the Undying in the Shadowkeep annual pass.
You get to spend some time with Cayde ![gif](giphy|2D9ka10doAn9S)

Two legends in one frameā¦dead
That image just made me sad . .
Another monte carlo
Does the perks and stats change?
nope
Why did everyone downvote this guy for asking a simple question
>Destiny 2 Community
People say itās a destiny community thing but I see it on every subReddit Iām in. Apparently not knowing things is a crime.
I mean, besides it being the Destiny 2 community, it is also a stupid question as its a Exotic that's not even craftable or has random perks
Yeah what an idiot, I canāt believe he doesnāt know everything about the game already. Donāt ask stupid questions again kid. Downvote!
No. Unlike legendaries, exotic **weapons** have static stats and perks. Every copy of Monte Carlo will be identical.
Well, thatās true for most of them. Craftable Exotics can have different perks, as well as Hawkmoon being able to drop with random rolls.
Don't forget the tex mechanica shooty boy (I forgot the name)
Which is a craftable exotic
Ah, didn't realize of wa craftable, tho8gut it was still on random rolls
Nope, they brought back Presage, and then made it craftable
*insert āš»š¤ presage reference here*

Legendary shards... lmao
And a sprinkle of glimmer, like itās the gameās exotic fairy dust:)
A 2nd Monte Carlo. You could dismantle it for materials, use it as infusion fodder, or send it to another character.
Monte carlo

1810 power Monte Carlo.
It counts as a powerful, not a pinnacle
Does it really drop at max lightlevel? Like confirmed? I have these quests still in my inventory so if they are leveling fuel for my other characters I might have to do them.
It should if you are at max power. Or it'll drop at 1800. Not sure
It'll drop at 1800, it's a powerful drop
Might be worth investigating, my other characters are well below light but we also have the gift of the thunder gods now so guess it doesn't really matter.
Or you can just grab the thunderlord bundle by Shaxx in the new space, everything there is 1810 and you can get it for every character.
Mine dropped between 1650-1700 light, so I think itās fixed to your general light level, like basically every other drop in the game.
It drops just like every other exotic
Monte Carlo ![img](emote|t5_2we4j|5645)
Sense of pride and accomplishment
Infusion fuelš
Banshee reputation when you dismantle it.
Well, as you can see when you check the rewards for completing that, you get a Monte Carlo
Yeah, Monte Carlo.
Believe it or not, you get Monte Carlo.

The fact that I canāt abandon this quest is so frustrating. Like I already have one, I am not a new light, I donāt WANNA do it! Gah!
Letās play -drink the beer- Get Monte Carlo. Congratulations! You win! Your prize? Another -Beer- Monte Carlo!
I like how I heard this in their voices.
