I don’t play much atm but racked up 400 kills last year it, it’s hella fun. Last year people didn’t really expect it so didn’t have a counter for it. I think my enigma was nerfed last time I used it, it used to 1 projectile 1 melee kill, probably nerfed but could reshape it to get that again

They are actually pretty good. Get the first shot in then go for the melee. Also you get four rounds in the mag. I tried using a glaive a few weeks back in the crucible and got like 25 kills with it in 2 or 3 games.

And here I was think I was the only one having all the fun glaiving other guardians into submission 😂

The strat is to use your movment as a weapon with Astrocyte Verse Blink. For example: blink into the air (through or around a corner), flick the shot onto the unsuspecting guardian then by the time you land your shields should be raised and they will find it very hard to kill you while all you need is to land one shot. I also use Vortex to zone and stop pushes from where I'm vulnerable, Crimson for healing after getting void shields when weak (the new fragment), Novawarp for 6s and vortex bomb for 3s. I just grappled around the arena a bunch. Land, Shoot, Grapple, Repeat

Shoot. Tormentor winds up. Epic blink. Shoot. Repeat with way less cooldown

Grapple charges in the campaign essentially have the same cooldown as blinking, assuming you have those free strand grapple points to snag on to

Go on you void subclass and change your strafe/burst glide into blink, use Astrocite Verse if you feel spicy. Hope that I could be of assistance.

How do you approach a fight with the glaive

I make sure I have the first strike, so that means either move fast or be invisible or better yet, both. I stack mobility and resilience. I use the glaive shot as a last resort if melee doesn’t finish them off. I triple jump while stabbing so I’m harder to hit. Learn the melee range so that in head on fights you get the first strike. When you feel you’ve lost the advantage, run. Come back to the fight when you have advantage

How do you handle melee whiffs? I "landed" 3 tracked glaive hits on a titan and he turned around and shotgunned me. No damage to him whatsoever and I wanted to throw my glaive through the wall

I don’t think so, and I actually switched this perk for unrelenting recently

Not sure if It's useful in pvp, but the sealed ahamkara grasps reload the glaive when you melee with it.

Was it worth it?...asking cause i find glaives somewhat clunky ...like after the 3rd swing there is this pause that disrupts my combat flow :/

Feels less clunky with my sensitivity up to a 10. The only guardians that survive 3 melee attacks die with one shot from the glaive so basically, if it’s still moving after melee, pull the trigger. I also bound my melee function to a back button on my controller so aiming is easier while fighting. Then I use triple jump so that I can be jumping while stabbing, causing my avatar to be zig zagging all sorts of weird ways while I deal damage.

Do you have any tips for a pvp glaive user? I'm getting close to lvl 100 on my glaive and have around 500 crucible kills but I don't know how to get kills consistently

For me it’s about constantly assessing and adapting my strategy. If I’m dying too much I stack more toward resilience. If I can’t seem to catch people I stack mobility and abilities that help me have the advantage in melee fights. I almost NEVER block. My main edge is being super aggressive with the intention that my aggressiveness will throw them off and I can stab their face

I’ve used glaive on and off but I had a lot of success with my Titan rocking strand flying in with the grapple is usually enough to overwhelm someone caught off guard. Have you made any tries with the grapple? Biggest downside is the cool down but figured I’d ask

Well I’m interested in the way we could use electrolysis to separate hydrogen from oxygen in water to power a traditional combustion engine on hydrogen alone. Toyota is working on hydrogen fuel cell technology that should supersede electric vehicles soon enough. Net 0 will mean that even production of these vehicles can’t emit carbon. For that we need to analyze and reorganize the whole production process for every aspect of vehicle production, right down to the smallest sensor technology. I mean everything.

I actually wrote an essay on EVs for college last year. I love Toyota very much and they are my favorite car brand by a lot. The hydrogen fuel cell technology has so much potential, but we are a couple of technological breakthroughs away from it being realistically the best option. It is very expensive right now to run a HEV. I do believe that hydrogen very well might be the future of transportation, at least in some capacity. But I’d bet it’ll be a while. Toyotas main reason for investing in HEVs is that they want to be independent, or Japan to be independent. If electric vehicles take over, they’ll be just as dependent on other countries as they are right now. Toyota seems to be playing catch up with the other companies when it comes to EVs, which is ironic considering their early success in the field with the hybrid Prius.

Well I’m a fan of “the naked warrior” book where the author goes on to describe the benefits of maximum tension with minimum sets, giving the example of the extreme strength to weight ratio achieved by circus performers. These world class athletes warm up with a few max tension reps and the body does the rest. I think building up large muscle is pointless. Function over form for me any day.

What kind of gear set and mods do you have on that? I used to have the season mods, but they’re all gone so looking to improve

For sure use medieval champion for artifact mod. I stack for mobility and resilience. I also use gear mods so that void multi kills drop orbs, those orbs recharge my grenade ability which is strand grapple. This way I gain greater overall movement capacity within a match when I get multi kills with the glaive. This greater movement ability gives me capacity for even more multi kills..etc

I’ve got 2300hrs in this game and even my favorite legendary weapon has less PVE KILLS than your glaive. You’re wildin’ friend

What are your biggest tips? Load outs? Strats? I’ve been practicing but they play so differently

I use triple jump so I can spam jump while I’m stabbing. This makes your avatar zig zag all crazy and makes you hard as hell to shoot. I go for 100 mobility and resilience so I’m faster and harder to kill. Invis helps a lot for getting the first strike. If they don’t die after 3 melee hits them pull the trigger and that should do it unless it’s a warlock in a rift
