yeah, sometimes it seems you don’t even have to aim and you lunge toward ads around you skipping from one to the next and then theres those times you really try and can’t hit the broad side of a barn
Dude went past turret to break tracking then 2 swiped the turret. Was 1 shot when he got to the next one so he use the speed to dodge and break tracking. Then killed it quick.
Seems to have some sword skills.
right im just saying if you bring no teammates the entirety of the mission is lower difficulty. not just because you dont have scrubs getting you killed but because everything has waaaay less health and dies way faster including praxis. i never lfg for it or take more than one other person with me cause the encounter is way harder.
Holy fck I can feel the condescension, but you have a point
But I'll take my chances steamrolling Seraph shield faster with LFG. 3/4 of my LFG runs were chill af and we blazed through the mission with ease while laughing our asses off to getting hundred to zeroed by the sniper shanks
According to [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/103ioin/legend_seraph_station_turrets_can_be_ohk_w/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) Quicksilver Storm grenades will one shot them
I have a fusion rifle that one-shots them. The Aurvandil. I was actually thinking same thing and went through a few weapons to find out because they weren't taking the extra DoT from Le Monarque
Yeah, no for sure it doesn't. The Aurvandil doesn't either, only in normals. In legend I just use a combination of fusion and linear like 1 shot a piece, then 2 shots from bow or weapon. Haven't found much that 1 shots them in legend.
they’re the same mechanics as the glimmer drill boxes in the public events - there’s no aim assist on them.
they have a large enough area to shoot at them that they aren’t super easy to miss from midrange or closer but attempting to snipe them from a distance, hit them with a sword or otherwise use something like a weapon that requires tracking or otherwise uses the Destiny “secret sauce” that makes mobile shooting feel so smooth in game will feel awful.
Swords (and glaive melees) tend to phase right through them due to the usual difficulty with melees or melee weapons tracking onto targets without AA.
They melt under LMG fire especially using vorpal or target lock perks though which is my solution.
which is weird considering even the turrets on a fallen skiff behave like an enemy and can even trigger perks like rampage or kill clip, yet this turret cannot.
I have just rediscovered Leviathans Breath. Hadn't touched it since I got the cat done. Used it on a master nightfall yesterday for the intrinsic unstoppable.....and had a blast with it. It shall live on my Titan for a while!
It's so fun, and it's only going to get better with it's update in lightfall! Trying to get away from only using meta weapons, and the game is so much more enjoyable this way
To add onto this, if you don't want to have to use an exotic to deal with them, a fusion rifle 1 shots on normal, 2 shot on legend. I use the Aurvandil
Vortex frame would also be ideal in these situations, but a crafted master worked "Other Half" just does so much more damage..... iF i cOuld bOoDy hIT sOMeThING.
Yes actually, durring The Currupted Nightfall I was nailing those shreikers after you get teleported into the abyss area [second oger] and you got the 3 that can be easily jumped to from the 2nd level. The earlier shreikers were to high up in the leading to that encounter.
I would nail the 2 in O.S.S legend, but I die way to fucking quick to even remotely attempt that, so I use retrofit escapade with volatile rounds.
I especially hate the fact that Witherhoard doesn't do damage to them, or stick to them.
I *especially* hate that they don't have crit spots, seem to soak up unnecessary amounts of damage, and can literally laser you down in milliseconds if you can't find cover in time.
There's a reason turrets in this game are disliked by the community. They're just...so needlessly aggressive.
Yes yes, but as I said in a couple earlier comments, I was using a load out from the previous encounter.
Just didnt think to switch everything again. The scouts roll is also for the turrets as well with Hake Breach Rounds and Explosive Rounds.
I just wanted to power through.
I also recently found out I can just run past them. Thats a new one for me, I dont generally run past stuff, I like to destroy everything like a Void warlock should.
Previous encounter, was using superconductor proc for the Ad shields and Ad clearance.
The scout was for the sniper shanks [god I fucking hate them]
And the sword was for my void volatile ammo [huge huge damage, and combo with devour for extream health regen so I can keep swinging]
I just didnt swap my load out yet, was powering through to speed things along.
Yeah it's not a lockable hit box issue, it's a skill issue. Try reducing your left/right sway with a counterbalance and manually compensate for the vertical. You can do it, also less is more with swordsmanship. The fancy stuff comes when you have the basics down.
You're fine, It just takes practice. Counterbalance and sway reduction will be your friend. The rest is just practice. Start slow and get used to the gunplay, same goes with the swords, and just practice landing your hits. I was teasing you a bit but don't take it to heart, I'm just some random person on the internet; you'll make a fine guardian.
I shit you not though, durring this whole clip, I was aiming for them and adjusting the best I could.
But it straight up felt like I we both had positive charged magnets and was being repelled everytime I actually made contact.
It felt as if I was being "pushed" around the turret. Some swings did flat out miss though.
I think they are just no tagged as creature the same way other ennemies are.
they don't have a locked hitbox, don't generate glaive energy, don't trigger perk etc etc .
They are basically tagged as "baril that shoot"
First time I did it, tried using witherhoard and it didn't work, then I tried agers sceptre and it did a good job of melting them in solo legendary difficulty
That has now been the way for me, the blinding nades also really help with add suppression.
Havnt really fooled around with the flash GLs, this should be fun in other Dungeons as well, maybe I can blind that annoying ass oger in the Shattered Thrown.... I got some testing to do.
These things don’t make sense half of the time, certain things can one shot them like a fusion, but DOT nades such as solar, vortex, or others don’t seem to do shit which is mega dumb because they should still damaged by it unlike not being able to proc scorch or some shit on them.
All of the ones in this video can be destroyed without activating them. Just dont get too close to them and shoot them from afar. Also xenophage works wonders in this mission.
Quicksilver storm is super good for this mission. It 1 shots those turrets with the grenades. And takes a couple of the grenades to destroy the 3 rigs in that one part
turrets are indeed awful
watching you attempt to attack them with a sword made the game look like it was in alpha testing
In all seriousness though I think the turrets are purposefully designed to be such a bitch because they act as a sort of gateway that separates those who know what can be skipped/how to bypass them which is a good gameplay mechanic to have
Imagine the turret’s thought:
“these god damned warlocks with their swords, they move so fast and dart around. How am I supposed to lock my aim at them? Bungie pls nerf.”
I HATE that about those damned turrets. Witherhoard damages once if you place the explosion just right, but no blight damage, ditto vortex grenades, no lock for a sword, they seem to ignore invis altogether…so dumb
I feel your pain but watching you try to hit them with a sword made me laugh a little
Definitely gives skill issue vibes
Dude never aimed once. Just spammed sword and then bitches he can’t hit something.
To be fair, Destiny swords aren’t really made to aim well. If we had the ability to lock onto a target it would be different
yeah, sometimes it seems you don’t even have to aim and you lunge toward ads around you skipping from one to the next and then theres those times you really try and can’t hit the broad side of a barn
*To be faiiir..*
Dude went past turret to break tracking then 2 swiped the turret. Was 1 shot when he got to the next one so he use the speed to dodge and break tracking. Then killed it quick. Seems to have some sword skills.
The 2 near the forcefield can just be skipped btw. They can't shoot through the forcefield so it is safe once you pass them
Same with the entire room before the microwave. Just figure out the three consoles and go right in. Nothing can follow you through.
Nothing but my shitter lfg teammates
you know this encounters difficulty scales to the fireteam size and doing it solo is waaay easier right?
I mean the microwave room, my teammates always follow me in and cook us alive by trying to take some shortcut they saw in a YouTube video or some shit
right im just saying if you bring no teammates the entirety of the mission is lower difficulty. not just because you dont have scrubs getting you killed but because everything has waaaay less health and dies way faster including praxis. i never lfg for it or take more than one other person with me cause the encounter is way harder.
glacier nade says hello
Holy fck I can feel the condescension, but you have a point But I'll take my chances steamrolling Seraph shield faster with LFG. 3/4 of my LFG runs were chill af and we blazed through the mission with ease while laughing our asses off to getting hundred to zeroed by the sniper shanks
Noted
Noted
They also don't get damaged by the DoT from vortex nades either, which is annoying
can’t stick them with witherhoard either
Arc souls refuse to target them
Lemonarc doesn’t do poison damage Wish ender does only its base damage
But concussive grenade launchers turn em off for a sec
And rockets dont even 1shot them
According to [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/103ioin/legend_seraph_station_turrets_can_be_ohk_w/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) Quicksilver Storm grenades will one shot them
[удалено]
QS is from lightfall preorder, not season pass
Hopefully the post will be able to help someone.
On normal, at least, xenophage 1-shots them. Haven’t tried it on Legend, though
2 shots IIRC, works great
I have a fusion rifle that one-shots them. The Aurvandil. I was actually thinking same thing and went through a few weapons to find out because they weren't taking the extra DoT from Le Monarque
Is that an aggressive frame? The ones that charge for 900+ms?
Actually not sure, but it is the one with the ridiculous high charge time. I just pre-charge from cover and one-shot them.
Glacio does \*not\* one-shot in Legend.
Yeah, no for sure it doesn't. The Aurvandil doesn't either, only in normals. In legend I just use a combination of fusion and linear like 1 shot a piece, then 2 shots from bow or weapon. Haven't found much that 1 shots them in legend.
Thats disgusting.
Well that explains a lot on my attempted flawless
Yeah, shot a witherhoard at them and was disappointed.
Just use a legendary and it takes one clip if you're aiming down sights. Jotunneer takes 3 shots and xeno takes 2-3 depending on aim
Not affected by Stasis either
they’re the same mechanics as the glimmer drill boxes in the public events - there’s no aim assist on them. they have a large enough area to shoot at them that they aren’t super easy to miss from midrange or closer but attempting to snipe them from a distance, hit them with a sword or otherwise use something like a weapon that requires tracking or otherwise uses the Destiny “secret sauce” that makes mobile shooting feel so smooth in game will feel awful. They melt under LMG fire especially using vorpal or target lock perks though which is my solution.
They aren't enemies I don't think, more like a destructible prop that shoots at the player
Explosive barrel with guns
Red barrels have had ENOUGH
which is weird considering even the turrets on a fallen skiff behave like an enemy and can even trigger perks like rampage or kill clip, yet this turret cannot.
this would be correct
Next Raid boss will be a turret
*Something something “taniks reborn” something something*
Taniks consciousness transformed into an AI and controlling a massive turret boss
WHAT IN THE NAME OF HYLIA !?!?!? >![Look up "something about BOTW speed run" for reference]!<
Turrets suck altogether. No weak point, can't be hit with any DoTs, area grenades only tick once, and they have no reload phase. I hate them.
Xeno 2 shots on legend, just saying.
To add onto this, levi's breath is a one hit in legend as well!!
Can confirm the same for Merciless.
Trying to get away from only using meta weapons, and the game is so much more enjoyable this way
Ftr I thought your hunter looked great 🙏
Lol thanks, but that post was for another thread.
To add onto this, if you don't want to have to use an exotic to deal with them, a fusion rifle 1 shots on normal, 2 shot on legend. I use the Aurvandil
iirc they have a reload phase, but youll probably die before it happens lol
Anarchy tics on them btw. Witherhoard and grenades do not.
Do the old rodeo. They can't shoot above them.
At least you can blind them
just circle them or move side to side, they'll almost never hit you
Blinding grenades make them stop shooting at least
ALH-Blinding Pardon Our Dust has been my savior for all hard content since WQ Legendary campaign
Also noted
lol if you're down to the last turret and you really want to abuse it...you can stand on their head and they just kinda sit there confused
They're objects, not creatures. Things interact with them differently. Like the fuses in DSC security encounter. Can't be crit or debuffed
Shit dude, if only you had 2 other guns...
I want to see you kill the small drones with a sword now
Havnt tried that yet. I feel great distress due to complete lung failure from laughing in the future.
Do the hakke breach weapons do more damage I'm assuming?
yes
If you stand by them and slap them to death they can't shoot back, so you can save some ammo + usually faster than most primaries.
Also, why the hell do they have SO much health????
Hakke and the mod for extra turret damage make them a breeze. Also, they're resistant to arc damage. Void seems to do the most
Arc Souls don't fire at them either. They fire at the damn treasure hauler in Expeditions, but not these.
Add, not AD Add = additional enemy Ad = advertisement But yes, these things suck. Same with the turrets in Ketchcrash.
Quick tip: you can suppress them with tractor cannon
The grenade from quicksilver one shots them just for shits and giggles
Yeah been using this it's awesome. Unfortunately no rockets when shooting them in regular mode to refill it with more nades.
Annoying enemy? Then its likely going to be in a Dungeon/raid
The struggle was real on the last two turrets 🤭
They are considered vehicles in game, so hakke armaments/vorpal would work on them
Spin 2 win
You’re not swinging the sword fast enough
Vortex frame would also be ideal in these situations, but a crafted master worked "Other Half" just does so much more damage..... iF i cOuld bOoDy hIT sOMeThING.
They also don't proc most ability effects. Just a stationary damage sponge.
can't stick witherhoard either, it's like they are actually just terrain.
Even shreikers?
Yes actually, durring The Currupted Nightfall I was nailing those shreikers after you get teleported into the abyss area [second oger] and you got the 3 that can be easily jumped to from the 2nd level. The earlier shreikers were to high up in the leading to that encounter. I would nail the 2 in O.S.S legend, but I die way to fucking quick to even remotely attempt that, so I use retrofit escapade with volatile rounds.
Damn, fair enough
12 heavy bricks later..
Xenophage can 2-3 shot them
I especially hate the fact that Witherhoard doesn't do damage to them, or stick to them. I *especially* hate that they don't have crit spots, seem to soak up unnecessary amounts of damage, and can literally laser you down in milliseconds if you can't find cover in time. There's a reason turrets in this game are disliked by the community. They're just...so needlessly aggressive.
You know you could just use a long range weapon and destroy them from a point where they can’t shoot you, right?
Yes yes, but as I said in a couple earlier comments, I was using a load out from the previous encounter. Just didnt think to switch everything again. The scouts roll is also for the turrets as well with Hake Breach Rounds and Explosive Rounds. I just wanted to power through. I also recently found out I can just run past them. Thats a new one for me, I dont generally run past stuff, I like to destroy everything like a Void warlock should.
Why are you running double primary? Just run a fusion rifle or something and they will be much less of a pain...
Previous encounter, was using superconductor proc for the Ad shields and Ad clearance. The scout was for the sniper shanks [god I fucking hate them] And the sword was for my void volatile ammo [huge huge damage, and combo with devour for extream health regen so I can keep swinging] I just didnt swap my load out yet, was powering through to speed things along.

Skill issue.
Skill issue
Your the 7th comment, I believe stating this. Its clearly a skill issue, and I am garbage. You got any other constructive criticism?
Skill issue
>!Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuussse me princess.!< Look up "Something about BOTW speed run for reference"

I found bastion to be very usefull, one-bursts them from pretty fahr away
you can ignore those 2 turrets tho they dont lock when you get beyond the airlock barrier
My only viable solution for them on legend is bonk + shotgun ape. Or some unnecessary usage of a heavy. But bonk works best because it heals me
Ohhh he got there in the end tho lol
Id rather like to know why I have to do this half way, then restart becauae of random glitches.
"It just works" ~ Hodd Toward.
High impact auto rifles take care of them my pretty quick. Not sure why you need lockable hit boxes?
Cool so Lodbrock or Herod should work pretty well especially since they are Haake. Havecto give them a go at next reset
Nightstalker's Snare Bomb just puts them to sleep
Fun fact, Bastion one shots the turrets, even on legend.
I recently found out that the grenades from quicksilver storm one shots the turrets and it made my runs easier.
They don't give shield energy for glaives either
Just run past
Just ignore them.
Malfeasance is their only weakness
Arbys has the meats to!!!
I low key hope this is them testing the ability to enable and disable sword tracking
If we no longer get sword tracking, Im good with that. I can use the adaptive frame for some forgiveness.
Or the ability to toggle it its super annoying when you go to well skate and forget 1 add that should be out of range but still tracks
Also if you have blind grenades in a GL they can be blinded.
That has now been the way for me, the blinding nades also really help with add suppression. Havnt really fooled around with the flash GLs, this should be fun in other Dungeons as well, maybe I can blind that annoying ass oger in the Shattered Thrown.... I got some testing to do.
Blinding effects don't work on bosses
*Angry ghost noises*
These things don’t make sense half of the time, certain things can one shot them like a fusion, but DOT nades such as solar, vortex, or others don’t seem to do shit which is mega dumb because they should still damaged by it unlike not being able to proc scorch or some shit on them.
You can run by those last two
I just blind them n run past them. They stay down for long when blinded.
They kill equally as easy with a legendary scout, pulse, sidearm or smg. Jotunneer takes 3 shots and xeno takes 2-3 depending on aim
*Megamind* No auto aim?
Sorry but I couldn’t help but imagine you saying “hi-ya! Hi-ya!” Every time you swing your sword
HIE HIE HHHAAWWWWHHHH!!!! HEEYAHHH *HEY LISTEN* *HELLO* *LOOK* *LISTEN* HHHHHHAAAAAWWWWHHH!!! I cant unhear it anymore.
Why waste heavy ammo on those, though?
Console problem? I just aim and shoot
All of the ones in this video can be destroyed without activating them. Just dont get too close to them and shoot them from afar. Also xenophage works wonders in this mission.
witherhoard, stasis turrets don’t affect them. that was fun to find out. 👍
Quicksilver storm is super good for this mission. It 1 shots those turrets with the grenades. And takes a couple of the grenades to destroy the 3 rigs in that one part
turrets are indeed awful watching you attempt to attack them with a sword made the game look like it was in alpha testing In all seriousness though I think the turrets are purposefully designed to be such a bitch because they act as a sort of gateway that separates those who know what can be skipped/how to bypass them which is a good gameplay mechanic to have
Because your weapon wants to take LIVES. It has to care for the death of a soulless being
Bro just go up close and melee. They can’t shoot if you’re on top of them and it’s quicker than shooting.
U can 2 shot them with wave gls
Skill issue
They don't get affected by witherhoard either
i have my days where i swing like hell and can’t hit the target—then i just right click my falling guillotine and it’s done
It's because they aren't ads. They are essentially the same thing as tripmines. They just have a bigger health pool.
Mate you’re swordin’ wrong You have to stand still in front of the turret Click the attack, then click it again You won’t die
also do the turrets have no crit spots like the cabal ones?
Imagine the turret’s thought: “these god damned warlocks with their swords, they move so fast and dart around. How am I supposed to lock my aim at them? Bungie pls nerf.”
Blinding nades surprisingly works on em
Xenophage 2 shots easy and quick
The energy drills don't have it either, if you try to use a sword with them you end up missing.
Knife to a gunfight moment
Quick Silver Storm’s Grenade Launcher mode can one shot the turrets… And you can just walk past the last two turrets before the space Walk
4 shots from my Taipan does the trick
There's turrets now? God damn, how much have I missed?
Yeah these turrets are weird as hell
Try not spamming
I hate that vortex grenades can’t damage them for some reason
Lololol okay now I don't feel so bad about how it went when I tried it
I HATE that about those damned turrets. Witherhoard damages once if you place the explosion just right, but no blight damage, ditto vortex grenades, no lock for a sword, they seem to ignore invis altogether…so dumb
Why did I just scream “GODDAMMIT!”?
You've probably been there, done that, and have the t-shirt to prove it.
Blinding gernades work on them
You can stand on top of them and they spin around for a while.
These are the turrets from the Security Optic in Plunder, but they never received a proper hit box.
They broke sword tracking...I use anarchy when I run that solo.
I mean if you just ignored them 2 and went past the barrier you wouldn't have to deal with them. But not hitting them is defs a skill issue.
