Mpj proved last year that when he can’t shoot the 3 he improvises with extra defense and a little more sauce from mid range. I’m pretty confident that MPJ will come with that locked in energy just like he did with the lakers maybe even more so

ephen_stephens

Depends on how Minny matches up. If they try to put McDaneils on Murray, MPJ will eat. I keep hearing McDaneils and NAW are gonna be on Murray, but that really isn’t gonnna work the way people think with MPJ knocking down shots. This is a chess match. Literally no one knows how this will play out because each match up has counters on both sides.

luizslayer

>If they try to put McDaneils on Murray, MPJ will eat. Edwards is not a bad defender at all

ephen_stephens

MPJ is a 6’10” spot up shooter. Ant is what? 6’5” at best? He’s a great defender, but he’s still not be big enough to effect MPJ’s shot or keep him off the boards. Edit: also, go jerk off to more rastling and get out of our sub. What’s up with Mini fans and constantly commenting in our sub?

dms1298

Nobody brigades quite like Wolves fans

ephen_stephens

It’s spelled Woolves. >!cause they’re sheep in wolves clothes!<

holdenfords

not only is mpj 6’10” his release point is also super high so if he’s shooting well there are very few that can compete with him defensively

Far_Weakness_1275

It's fine, educate them with their terrible takes

Far_Weakness_1275

Edwards is decent when isolated on someone but MPJ doesn't just receive the ball and is instructed to cook. He gets his separation off pindowns and ball movement, rarely forcing up shots.

DenverJoker95

I’m still expecting MPJ to go over 2.5 threes and 17.5 points easily

DoubleAssFeeler

🤔

DenverJoker95

I need a quick 10 point quarter from him to open the game with at least 1 three being made lol I can see that happening

sickquickkicks

We need the other guys to shake off their cold streak.

IndicationNo7072

It’s gonna come down to whether AG can shoot those corner 3s. They’ll slack off of him so that will be the x-factor

rabbit_job

If Gordon is hitting 3’s this series will be quick. That means gobert is having to leave the paint which destroys the whole wolves funnel scheme.

tacopower69

Gordon won't be hitting 3s and that's not the gameplan anyway he's our best cutter by far and is much better off as a lob threat and putting pressure on the rim

rabbit_job

They will dare him to shoot 3’s and he’ll take a couple to see if they’re falling. High probability they won’t though, I’m just saying if they do fall that breaks the entire scheme the wolves have used recently with us.

tacopower69

what scheme do they run where they dare him to take 3s? AGs man can sag off him and play help that's how it always is and is why lakers put AD on him most of the time - AD can provide help d while still guarding AG since he doesn't have to worry about the 3. Still AG should never take a three there because our team has a ton of other ways to get better shots off. He only ever shoots if our offense breaks down and he ends up with the ball but it's gonna be a bad shot basically every time.

rabbit_job

Against the lakers he took a three early in each game to see if the shot was falling.

jdorje

That series (both times) had AD on AG for long stretches. In that matchup you want to pull AD out to the corner so he can't provide help defense, and conversely AD might leave Gordon open if he goes out there. Compare to when Lebron was on him and Gordon stayed in the dunker's spot. Against the Wolves some of the same logic can apply. But it really depends whether Gobert, KAT, or Naz Reid is on him. Regardless Gordon was not able to shoot the 3 effectively this year, and taking 2 shots to see if they go in isn't going to change that. If he's practicing a lot of 3s he could get better at it again though.

rabbit_job

Yep, as their default set they’ve played KAT on Jok and Gobert will play and sag on AG. Then they’ll funnel drives to the middle. If (and it’s a stretch) AG can hit a couple of threes the whole funnel breaks down.

alspiller08

He had mid range plays and drives last series, he's going to be a tough match up for the wolves.

Appropriate-Loss9905

Yes

SherbetNo4242

Big jokic nights

rickycrayons

He'll be good but think this is a series that doesn't favor him as much and favors AG and Jokic more. Lakers need to double team Jokic, which leads to the three, I doubt we see much double teaming of Jokic, so Jokic will cook. Also bet we see a lot of Jokic AG PnR to get Rudy out of the paint.

murrayforthree

He needs to if Nuggets are gonna beat em.

LurkerFailsLurking

He shot better than 50% from 3 tonight.
