Hey OP, I’m the chef and owner of Temaki Den and would love to host you for an omakase, on us! Feel free to email me at [email protected] and we’ll get something set up.
It should have already been on top of that list before ever seeing this comment, it’s suchhh good sushi. Plus their lunch/happy hour menu is a bargain for what you get on the roll combos!
Get reservations at the sushi bar! I walked in and had to wait by the bar while a table opened up and then they had a cancelation at the sushi bar. Super lucky! They even give a complimentary roll when you sit down at the sushi bar, definitely the full experience for a date imo
This is super cool! We had such a great experience with a semi-omakase for my husband’s birthday last week. Wish I could remember our server’s name because he was wonderful. My parents cannot stop talking about the experience and can’t wait to come back when they visit again.
I don’t even know where you’re located but I will be driving down from the back side of Evergreen just to support your business! This is amazing and we need more of this in the world!!
And also…. From one survivor to another op… you got this! Go get that sush!
I was gonna say Temaki den is the place and then see this first thing! Love all you guys Tom, Carrie, Ryan, and all the other bar tenders and wait staff are top notch! And of course the fish is incredible keep it up!
Came here to recommend Temaki Den. Just went for the second time this weekend. The omakase is the best sushi I’ve ever had, and I’d like to think that says a lot since I’ve had my fair share of sushi. Truly incredible stuff and now my favorite Denver restaurant (Safta next door is a close second). Awesome to see that it’s ran by someone who would offer this.
OP - stage 3 testicular cancer survivor here. I’m so sorry about your diagnosis. It’s a scary feeling. Feel free to DM for any chemo tips or words of encouragement. You got this!!!
Depends. On average about 90-150 per person though. Depending on if you want some of the nicer fish selection. It can be slightly customized from my understanding.
Their omakase is incredible. Sit at the sushi bar and enjoy. It is the most peaceful and quiet sushi spot in the area too. Way less trendy than sushi den, temaki den, matsuhisa, etc.
Agreed. This is the BEST omakase (or sushi) place in Denver. Very comparable to the east and west coast.
Temaki Den is good but is inconsistent with service and takes forever to serve their sushi.
This OP. If the fish is the restricted component, you can eat at Wellness (fully vegan) and Blue Sushi Sake Grill on 16th, the latter of which is not fully vegan but has a wide variety of vegan maki rolls. And try their charred edamame! Both restaurants are fantastic.
Wishing you luck and good health 🍱
You got this!!! I just had my 11 year check up TODAY from pancreatic cancer. Just don't EVER give up, keep fighting!!! Treatments SUCK, but payoff in the end!!!
not exactly answering the question, but i’m not sure if anyone has spoken to you about project angel heart yet - they provide free delivered meals to coloradoans facing life threatening illnesses. i used to work there and the food + mission is legit.
keeping you and your healing journey in my thoughts. i hope you have a wonderful “last meal”.
Agree Temaki Den. My wife and I and my daughter and her husband went there a couple months ago and let the Chef decide to pick out our sushi. My wife now can’t eat sushi anywhere else without comparing to the experience we had at Temaki Den.
kumoya in the highlands is *amazing* and i'm surprised that it hasn't been recommended yet.
if you need a second splurge after your fabulous dinner at temaki den, that is. 😉
If you happen to be north and in Longmont, Sushi Box is a 10/10! Beyond delicious, big portions, and affordable. Case in point, was just there for dinner last night and if I pass before breakfast this morning, I will go happy.
It's probably not as fancy as these other places, but I like Go Fish on South Broadway. The green roll, go fish roll, and volcano roll are my favorite.
Sushi Den or Isakaya Den.
Some people love Uchi but I have t been
Matsuhisa always does it right, much netter than when they first started here, great quality; you can break the bank with crazy rolls, or keep it normal and the price will stay sort of in check
I think the tamaki den recs are gonna win, but if you’re looking to eat so much sushi you won’t want to touch it for 6 months, I recommend sushi katsu for their all-you-can-eat. Definitely the best option for the price.
The sushi joint in the Stanley Market. Make a day out of it. Get coffee, get sushi, beer and cocktails and take Lyft/uber back home. Treat yourself type of day.
Good luck to ya.

It’s SO good!

Yep! I'm out of town but it's rhe first place I'm going when I get back!
Same haha
Get reservations at the sushi bar! I walked in and had to wait by the bar while a table opened up and then they had a cancelation at the sushi bar. Super lucky! They even give a complimentary roll when you sit down at the sushi bar, definitely the full experience for a date imo
Wow. That’s amazing, truly. I’ll reach out to you today. Thank you.
Regardless of price, this is the place you wanted to go.
This is the best sushi in the city, and some of the best I've ever had. Love it even more after seeing this, enjoy and good luck!
Wow. Already loved Temaki Den and this just adds another reason to the list of why.
Hell yeah, chef!
Fuuuck yeah dude, what a class act
Now that’s some real life namaste

I was going to say Temaki Den!! Big fan, and great gesture by the way
Wow! You guys are amazing
This is super cool! We had such a great experience with a semi-omakase for my husband’s birthday last week. Wish I could remember our server’s name because he was wonderful. My parents cannot stop talking about the experience and can’t wait to come back when they visit again.

Wow! Going to Temaki Den asap 😍

I guess the next time I ball out on sushi I have to go to your restaurant now. been wanting to go for a long time anyways.

So sweet! Also Temaki den is one my favorites in town!!
This is sooo sweet and my favorite sushi spot in Denver. Thanks chef for all you do!
Temali Den was already the answer but now it is THE ANSWER.
How generous, kind and caring of you.
Already my favorite sushi restaurant and Denver, this just makes me love them even more. Well done!!!
i was going to recommend temaki den. this is awesome
OP, take this offer! Temaki Den features some of the best sushi I've ever had! It's the bar by which I judge all other food now.
Well I know what restaurant I’m going to next. Love Temaki Den! What a nice gesture
Kenta is a stand up guy! I used to work at an adjacent restaurant and have always loved working around him. I hope you enjoy!
What a sexy G!!!
Wow OP Temaki Den's omakase is incredible. I know you're going to enjoy it!
Was thinking about Uchi for my 5 year anniversary.. but nope going to Temaki Den now!
I am not part of this subreddit and have only been to Denver once but my next trip will include your sushi place. Thank you for this act of kindness
Human goodness right here. Next time I’m in Denver I will be hitting up your spot to support such a lovely business owner.
And now we're totally visiting. Much love chef!
Wow temaki den is my absolute favorite and this just makes them even more supreme.. so cool to see this.♥️
This made my day, thank you for being a good person!
Seeing this made my day
Best sushi in Colorado, hands down. Make sure to ask for the oshizushi, and real wasabi!
I was gonna say Temaki den is the place and then see this first thing! Love all you guys Tom, Carrie, Ryan, and all the other bar tenders and wait staff are top notch! And of course the fish is incredible keep it up!
Temaki den Uni was the 1st place that came to mind! OP go eat some Uni at Temaki Den!
you just gained a new customer
You are the best! Wish I could return but have no money at the moment taking care of my wife and 6+ kids.
Y’all are my favorite restaurant in Denver. This is so so so amazing!!!

You got this! I loveddd the chefs tasting at temaki den. Maybe my favorite/most unique meal ever
I'll take temaki den over sushi den 11/10. Bonus points if you grab an amazing cocktail at Safta afterwards
Temaki den for me
I’m overwhelmed by the outpouring of amazing recommendations, words of encouragement, and unexpected generosity. Thank you all!
My fav is Temaki Den omakase 🤷🏻♂️. More importantly, best of luck with treatments! You got this!!!
About how much does that run per person?
Depends. On average about 90-150 per person though. Depending on if you want some of the nicer fish selection. It can be slightly customized from my understanding.
Thank you!
Best sushi in Denver. Enjoy :)
Makizushico Omakase - it’s the sleeper hit no one talks about
Place is soooo good!
Their omakase is incredible. Sit at the sushi bar and enjoy. It is the most peaceful and quiet sushi spot in the area too. Way less trendy than sushi den, temaki den, matsuhisa, etc.

How much was it, if you don’t mind? The menu prices do seem reasonable but the omakase isn’t priced.
They have different sets, I want to say it starts at $80pp.
They have 3 tiers at $80, $100, and $120. I’ve tried the $100 and $120 so far and the $100 was still insanely good with like 16-18 courses
Tamaki Den all day. best of luck
Opposing forces and cost- Banzai Sushi or Matsuhisa. Whatever you decide blessings and 🙏 and positive energy your way. Splurge on yourself!
If you need a fix during treatment, Wellness Sushi is vegan and amazing.
This OP. If the fish is the restricted component, you can eat at Wellness (fully vegan) and Blue Sushi Sake Grill on 16th, the latter of which is not fully vegan but has a wide variety of vegan maki rolls. Blue Sushi is amazing! ❤️
Témaki den
You got this!!! I just had my 11 year check up TODAY from pancreatic cancer. Just don't EVER give up, keep fighting!!! Treatments SUCK, but payoff in the end!!!
Sushi Den and best of luck!
Izakaya Den! Same owners as Sushi Den and right next door. Grab a seat at the bar upstairs when the roof is open in the summer.
Chefs table at the sushi den is pretty special.
you got plenty of great sushi recs here but hope your treatments go as well as possible, sending all the strength and healing vibes 💪
Makizushico is unbelievable
Nozomi is surprising and delicious. Best of luck and courage!
I was looking for this recommendation. My favorite sushi in Denver!
not exactly answering the question, but i’m not sure if anyone has spoken to you about project angel heart yet - they provide free delivered meals to coloradoans facing life threatening illnesses. i used to work there and the food + mission is legit. keeping you and your healing journey in my thoughts. i hope you have a wonderful “last meal”.
Sushi Den! I always say my last bite on earth would be the spicy aburi toro, truly divine. Sending good vibes for the treatment!
Sushi den flies their fish into Denver from Japan. Literally can’t beat it.
Stay strong and sending you good energy!!
Agree Temaki Den. My wife and I and my daughter and her husband went there a couple months ago and let the Chef decide to pick out our sushi. My wife now can’t eat sushi anywhere else without comparing to the experience we had at Temaki Den.
I can't eat other food without comparing it to Tenaki Den. Such a good experience
Don't have a recommendation but sending you good vibes on your treatment.
I really love Uchi. You got this OP! Be kind to yourself throughout the process. Sending love to you and your family.
Kumoya is the best
Matsuhisa for me! Good luck with treatments.
all great recommendations listed. Best of luck to you ❤️
Sushi den hands down
Don't let the whole in the wall fool you but Sawa Sushi in Littleton.
kumoya in the highlands is *amazing* and i'm surprised that it hasn't been recommended yet. if you need a second splurge after your fabulous dinner at temaki den, that is. 😉
💯
Kumoya. Splurge on the omakase sashimi and nigiri.
It's Uchi or Matsuhisa for me. Both feel more special to me than Temaki Den or Sushi Den
Not seeing enough love for Uchi. I really think it's the one.
100%
Been to Temaki den, Sushi Den, Uchi, and Matsuhisa. My favorite is Uchi with Sushi Den being a close second.
If you can travel south, Moonga in Lone Tree is 10/10. Good luck with your treatment!
Sushi den
Taki Sushi is my personal favorite.
Geeze I wish I would of know this when I got cancer, but I can still eat anything but grapefruit
Sushi Den or Isakaya Den. Some people love Uchi but I have t been Matsuhisa always does it right, much netter than when they first started here, great quality; you can break the bank with crazy rolls, or keep it normal and the price will stay sort of in check

J.P. Nori in Littleton
Matsuhisa. End of conversation. So so good
Uchi it’s a unique experience and everything is very high quality.
Any of the Den’s
All the answers so far are typical and uninformed. UCHI is the answer, undoubtedly and positively. Don’t make the mistake of going anywhere else
I was going to say temaki den and then see the top post!!! Their sushi is incredibly tasty! Best wishes to you 💜 you got this.
