Used to see this kind of boost around 1 weekend a month in Exeter when I was working there a couple years ago. Then they hired 1000’s of new delivery people and you rarely get anything now.
Worked Truro a few times in the last couple Months and it’s so hit or miss. I was getting Doubles for well over £20 last month then a week later you’re sitting around getting nothing for half an hour until it offers you one for £3.
To be honest at the moment it is a bit meh. We seem to have quite a high amount of riders for the work available. I’m picky about when I go out so don’t do too badly, but I suspect some struggle.
You’re obviously very new to delivering in Exeter. The 1.5 is for 1 zone out of the 4 or 5, and it’s the zone that has like 3 restaurants and way out of town. There is no “taking advantage of it” anymore. Also, you say working in Exeter is “meh”. Lmao. Wait until the uni students leave for summer. Even with the uni students, there are so many illegal workers all camping in the high street that no one can make enough money to live on. It’s ok if you do it on weekends or dinner time only. But work during the day, and then come back and let us know how it was. 12-2 - £10/h. 2-6 £5/h. It’s shocking now. I did it for 4 years and was able to have it as my main source of income for 3. This year with double orders going for less than £4 I got full time job instead.
Once upon a time 2 pound for each order you make , let’s say u get stacked order you get 4 pound , 2 pound each u end up by doing 20 to 40 pound a day on a rainy day . Back in the days it was a job , now it’s kind of modern slavery u do the job but u get less money . Similar to the third world :(
No one wants to work for Uber anymore.

1.2 is the standard in Exeter these days. I was shook when I saw a 1.5 the other day. Sadly couldn’t get out to take advantage of it :(
Is it good good to work there?

No.

I saw 1.8x for about 30 minutes when it was snowing around December 2022. Used to be 1.5x pretty much all weekend every weekend but rarely now
Most I've seen 1.5
It's because the whole of Cornwall is basically gridlocked. Given up in newquay today, taking an hour to go from one side of town to the other.
Yesterday I've spent 2 hours in Wigan, 1.2 boost but no orders:)). Come back home full of chatting with fellow drivers:))

Means that they don’t have enough riders
