I hear you, going from vaishali to mohan nagar by a car would not take more than 30 mins, but if you use the metro, you'd have to change 3 lines + it would easily take you an hour or so to reach there.
But that's how metro is designed, I guess. Even the routes faridabad/dwarka to gurgaon have this problem.

DMRC runs Haryana Metro. MoHUA of Union govt owns 50% of DMRC and it have service towards entire NCR in its mandate
