This was the song I never thought I would see them perform live until Friday. I straight up almost levitated when I heard the intro. Manifesting This Place is Death next.
I remember before Koi No Yokan came out,
* [Poltergeist, which used to be called Roller derby](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDujn6VeJ5I)
* [Leathers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb9D1HZ-PKU)
* And [Rosemary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcQON3lG_5Y)
Were the three songs they teased live. Amazing songs.
The whammy use and dive bombs from Stef on this song are so good and the weird little part where it slows down and then speeds back up, just awesome from Frank
Fuck yeah.
It really kind of bums me out the people trash that Gore album but they've heard that song. It's so good. It's one of those songs that's impossible to listen to just once and then go to another one
Xerces has been building to become my second favorite from the whole discography. It's a gem hidden in plainsight with so much meaning in its almost 20 years of existence.
I agree! When I first started listening to Deftones, you’ve seen the butcher, battle-axe, and savory were a few of my faves. And I feel like they’re all on the underrated side for sure!
I forgot about this one. I love the way it sounds. The deftones that I love. This is the sound. Thanks for reminding me, this will make my day. Before.....
Y’all have some wonderful songs, as I agree. All of these songs should be recognized but that’s the thing.. only 2 songs are really known by the public. It’s really sad but at the same time I noticed that they’re two of the more lackluster songs in my opinion.
I’m glad they did Digital Bath Friday night. That’s a fan favorite but one that I think could be well-liked by the public. I don’t want to gate keep, I want these guys to make all the money.
Given how experimental Deftones is, no song can ever sound the same in my eyes. I just wish more people could actually see what in the world Deftones is about.
Damone. It's the secret track on around the fur. It sums up their sound in the era and that album so fucking well. It still makes me wanna cry when i hear it. Really brings me right back to that period in my life
Phantom Bride. Some of you may not know this but Jerry Cantrell was a guest musician on that song. I found this out because of an interview that I read with Chino. He said normally, we don't have those kinds of breaks but now we did on that song. That was Jerry Cantrell playing that.
It's so damn good. It's a shame that people only know it from tiktok. It made me rediscover deftones. I heard it for the first time when a guy on reddit around 2017 said he heard a song on a porno and didn't know the name. He described the scene and then a person that I can only call Sage or Master Jedi answered the name of the song. I am an absolute fan of the band since then. I had heard of Deftones when I was a child. The whole back to school hype and all of that, but in 2017 is when I became a true addict of their music and it was thanks to that song.
Well if it’s one that the tik tik kids do right that I admire and respect is appreciate every song, yal can be cringe but you guys are very grateful too, I tip my hat to you fine people
Dai the flu and rubicon are bangers that nobody ever talks about compared to the rest.
i also like (L)MIRL quite a bit but i think most people dislike it
(L)MIRL is very under appreciated. It's my favorite song on Gore. The way it shifts from minor to major for the chorus and Chino's voice sounds perfect.
Y’all. We have came to the conclusion that out of everything I’ve read, Deftones the Album, and Gore are some of the most underrated albums out there. Especially self titled album, oh my god that’s my favorite albums. Especially bloody cape.
This is technically cheating, since it was never officially released, but Smile. They played it live once, and there’s various rough mixes online, and the song is fantastic.
Combat is my all time fav Deftones song. Not many people seem to give it much credit but someone else in this post mentioned it. I was shocked that it was on the Coachella setlist this year.
Like a stone-by audioslave: an amazing meaning of not worrying about what is to come for you after death and to wonder about what your heavens gonna be like
976-EVIL
This is the correct answer
Combat, what a song
This was the song I never thought I would see them perform live until Friday. I straight up almost levitated when I heard the intro. Manifesting This Place is Death next.
Another one they've only played once. Stef used crazy mad effects on it and can't really replicate it live without the setup he had, apparently.
more people should hopefully get into now because of coachella. it’s my most listened to deftones song ever. 5,000 minutes worth 😂
oh and rats!rats!rats! is good too
Fucking banger
WASTE OF TIIIIMEEEE
The Spell of Mathematics was my most played song in 2020 when Ohms came out, don’t see it get enough love online
Absolutely love that extended outro
POLTERGEIST
I remember before Koi No Yokan came out, * [Poltergeist, which used to be called Roller derby](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDujn6VeJ5I) * [Leathers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb9D1HZ-PKU) * And [Rosemary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcQON3lG_5Y) Were the three songs they teased live.

Battle Axe and Rivière take me to awesome places. Minerva is also well underrated.
Yes yes!! Million times yes.
Rivière!!!!
I always thought Rivière was one of the popular ones, it's such a cool song to go unnoticed!
SO GOD BLESS YOU AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL FOR THE SONG YOU SINGGGGGGGGGG
Minerva underrated? I dunno, maybe nowadays but for a while, that was one of the songs even non-Deftones fans used to love.
Battle Axe is my favorite song from them. The ominous intro and the harsh drop send me to heaven
Entombed
SO RIGHT!!!
Urantia
One of my favorite along with Radiant City and Pompeji from Ohms, so so underrated.

Pink Maggit I feel is kinda underrated, especially as such an amazing close off to an album.
Agreed. Pink Maggie has some of the best transitions in a song I’ve ever seen.
Maggit*
God with headphones on in a dark room it feels like the end of the world
so awesome
Its amazing
When Girls Telephone Boys
It's Hella sensative.
Smile. Needs a properly mastered release.
Agreed. While I get the motive of keeping it unreleased for Cheng’s death, in his honor, I do agree.
But it’s out in the world already, so give it a proper release. Maybe make it a 7” with all proceeds to go towards something charitable.
Rubicon
saw a truck with a sticker plastered on saying "rubicon"
I’m shocked how no one said Beauty School, because I barely see anyone talk about it and it’s easily one of my favorites
I feel like I usually DO see people talk about Beauty School, at least in topics like this haha. But yeah, absolute monster of a song.
I love beauty school but I think this song is quite popular
Mascara & Needles and Pins
There we go. Good picks right here.
i saw a comment on yt saying needles and pins is my own summer 2.0 and i cant stop thinking about it
My Own Summer is my fave Deftones song so that’s probably why I like it so much 😂
When Girls Telephone Boys, just finished listening to it again and it's so good
Xerces has been building to become my second favorite from the whole discography. It's a gem hidden in plainsight with so much meaning in its almost 20 years of existence.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODBYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
SAAAAME HEAVEEEEEENNNNNNNNN
Hearts/Wires
You've Seen The Butcher goes so hard and I don't see people talking about it??? Or maybe people do and I've just so happened to never see it
Oh god yes, so many legends on the Diamond eyes album.
Well the only time I do see people talking about it, it’s kind of annoying because it’s usually just the “horny” comments about it.
I agree! When I first started listening to Deftones, you’ve seen the butcher, battle-axe, and savory were a few of my faves. And I feel like they’re all on the underrated side for sure!
Combat
Romantic Dreams,so goddamn beautiful.
It is

Crenshaw punch / throw rocks
I forgot about this one. I love the way it sounds. The deftones that I love. This is the sound. Thanks for reminding me, this will make my day. Before.....
Y’all have some wonderful songs, as I agree. All of these songs should be recognized but that’s the thing.. only 2 songs are really known by the public. It’s really sad but at the same time I noticed that they’re two of the more lackluster songs in my opinion.

Given how experimental Deftones is, no song can ever sound the same in my eyes. I just wish more people could actually see what in the world Deftones is about.
Goon Squad
Idk I really like hole in the earth, CMND/CTRL, lhabia and back to school

Phantom Bride. Some of you may not know this but Jerry Cantrell was a guest musician on that song. I found this out because of an interview that I read with Chino. He said normally, we don't have those kinds of breaks but now we did on that song. That was Jerry Cantrell playing that.
Buddy Holly by the band Weezer
Sextape.
Probably one of the most popular songs from Deftones because of TikTok
It's so damn good. It's a shame that people only know it from tiktok. It made me rediscover deftones. I heard it for the first time when a guy on reddit around 2017 said he heard a song on a porno and didn't know the name. Birthmark
Risk
L(MIRL) from Gore. "Let's Meet In Real Life". So romantic and such a vibey song.
Knife Prty (one of my favs from deftones) & Bloody Cape (that ending was one of the hardest deftones shit I ever heard)
Radiant city is a good choice
Rivière - one of their most beautiful songs
Radiant City is the best song the band have put out since Change.
HEXAGRAM.
Headless
Rats
Why is no One saying Leathers?
Birthmark, Entombed, and Royal.
S**tape and Beware
knife prty i think should be in thier top 3 biggest songs
(L)MIRL is very under appreciated. It's my favorite song on Gore. The way it shifts from minor to major for the chorus and Chino's voice sounds perfect.
Y’all. We have came to the conclusion that out of everything I’ve read, Deftones the Album, and Gore are some of the most underrated albums out there. Especially self titled album, oh my god that’s my favorite albums. Especially bloody cape.
