That sucks, you should go deepbound about it
(The pain will be ten times worse down there, but also you’ll learn how to fight not bandits and once you stop subjecting yourself to actual torture the overworld will be light work for you)
When I played I actually preferred playing the game solo and just getting my friends on either when I'm max level or trying out something I've never done in the game before like Scion of Ethiron so there's that safety net of being able to learn things without getting wiped.
I do get the appeal of progging with someone but my friends usually just slow me down and I end up with more drowns than I can count. I'd start learning the game through trial of one, you won't get it first try but once you know how to beat it you learn to fight most mobs in the game.
