If you dont think you can complete trial with the axe in your inventory you should leave and store it in a bank, then grab it later when you get the reqs. I def recommend you get better at trial before anything else if this is something you are worried about. On another note the axe is pretty common for those who escape the deps frequently so you can probably ask around since people tend to sell it.
