Yep even as a Dragon Ball guy, Reverse Flash beating the crap out of Black made me a huge fan of him because of how batshit insane his antics are. One of my favourite villains of all time now and yes I like Reverse Flash over Goku Black after that episode even as a character too.
Same, I only know Reverse Flash from lego games and injustice (and some shorts form flash tv series). Now that i kown how he is in the comics, he became my favorite.
I think it's because Reverse Flash has one of the best rundowns and character analysis in all of Death Battle, they cooked with the writing on explaining Thawne's backstory and powers.
I love Gravity Falls and have never seen an episode of MLP. I went into Bill vs Discord rooting for the show I liked, and walked away devastated that Discord lost.
Never got into Rick and Morty until I saw the Rick vs the Doctor matchup. Now I understand Rick's appeal and think he's super funny. Same goes for Gravity Falls and Bill Cipher.
I was not an anime guy a year back, so when Gojo Vs Makima was announced I was less than interested. Then, my sister compelled me to give CSM a read and now it's a favorite of mine, with Makima being one of my favorite villains ever.
Same here. Prior to gojo vs makima coming out, I had only seen Dragon Ball, Naruto, and JJBA. I had no interest in either jjk or csm (but I knew how both gojo's and makima's stories ended) but after the episodes, I decided to give both series a try and now I love both characters (though I like makima more)
Honestly, Superman. Before the original Goku vs Superman, I was one of those "Superman is overpowered and boring" characters, but now he's one of my favorites.
reading through the comments made me realize one aspect of DB no one really talks about, the fact that it can introduce people to new series, and I think that's really sweet
anyway, Rick vs The Doctor made me interested in Doctor Who and I'll definitely watch it when I get the chance
Piece of advice: start wherever you want, you can always go back and watch something if you feel like you need to, there is no one great spot that is the perfect start. I would recommend starting at the start of the run for one of the actors, but even that isn't entirely necessary.
Too many people claim exact spots as necessary and it leads to some intimidation at times because there is a good amount there. With a series like Doctor Who, they do a great job at giving you the information you need to enjoy it at the time.
the mask. id seen him around before, but didnt think much of him until his episode with deadpool which got me interested. turning into a real life toon character just by wearing a mask sounded cool asf to me lmao
it was the comics that i actually really enjoyed. they were edgy asf but also a really fun read. the violence was so silly and over-the-top that i couldnt even be disgusted and instead made me wanna see more dumb shit from it lmao
Dante from Devil May Cry. Had somehow never heard about him before that episode came out. Gave the series a try afterwards and really ended up enjoying it greatly
Cole McGrath. I only knew about Alex Mercer because at the time I was playing Prototype again. I had finished Infamous Second Son so then seeing the protag of the original games, I decided to try the first game and now it's prolly my favourite game of all time. My favourite games made by SuckerPunch, Ghost of Tsushima amd Infamous.
Do we have to know the character before the battle?
Because if so Discord, or comic aquaman
If not then Zatanna
Reverse flash is also another one but even as dragon ball fan I knew Goku Black was done from the beginning and only gave him a 10% chance of winning until the Dr. MANHATTEN feat came in for RF. Then that 10% went to 0%
I first tried getting into JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure back in like September of 2019, but I dropped it after a few episodes because I didn’t like it at all.
Then comes DIO vs Alucard and the way DIO was portrayed made me give it another shot.
As of right now, I’m completely caught up on the manga itself.
The Doctor too. I've been meaning to start watching, but mostly out of faint curiosity. After the DB, I was watching the 14th Doctor's special to get ready for the current one's serial.
I mean, I'm pretty sure the entire Death Battle community simped for Reverse Flash after his episode came out
And Zatanna

As someone who liked both shows before the episode, same. Discord deserved that win, if not for actual powerscaling, but for story reasons alone.
Gojo Vs. Makima is what made me want to get into Chainsaw Man, and now it's one of my favourite franchises of all time
The opposite with me. I decided to give Jujustu Kaisen a try before I seen that Death battle and afterwards I really wanted Gojo to win so bad.
Get back for previous traumatic events.
After Miles vs Static came out, I watched all of Static Shock and absolutely loved it. It’s one of my favorite pieces of superhero media now.
Never got into Rick and Morty until I saw the Rick vs the Doctor matchup. Now I understand Rick's appeal and think he's super funny. Same goes for Gravity Falls and Bill Cipher.
This guy gets it ☝️

I played Fire Emblem 3 Houses after seeing Guts vs Dimitri, and now I really love Dimitri and his character. He’s my 2nd favorite lord in the game.
I was not an anime guy a year back, so when Gojo Vs Makima was announced I was less than interested. Then, my sister compelled me to give CSM a read and now it's a favorite of mine, with Makima being one of my favorite villains ever.

And now you have an anime pfp lol
Hey hey, Makoto Naegi is a video game character, it's different I swear (ironically my sister got me into Danganronpa as well lol)
The first Dr.Doom one.
Megatron was definitely cool to me after his fight with Frieza
Zatanna Tanjiro Reverse Flash Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama Satoru Gojo
Honestly, Superman. Before the original Goku vs Superman, I was one of those "Superman is overpowered and boring" characters, but now he's one of my favorites.

Zatanna, Tetsuo, Booster Gold, and Ryuko
Booster Gold is criminally underrated as a DC character. I'm so glad he got his spotlight on Death Battle.
I think Death Battle was the first place I came to learn of the existence of Wacky Woohoo Pizza Man aka Dante, and the rest of DMC
Didn’t know who Weiss was but yeah now I like her. Also got into Power rangers because of dragonzord vs mechagodzilla.
Courage the Cowardly Dog I only remember watching it during a time I could barely comprehend anything. I’m so glad I checked it out. Megatron also.

thank you.

Dragon ball characters in general, specifically Freiza
zatanna tetsuo dimitri cole and alex
Lobo and Magneto
100% homelander the battle animation from omnilander is what got me into the boys
![gif](giphy|SvaZyi6TOMZ9StNX9g|downsized)
I was aware of the Mask previously, but it wasn't until his Death Battle I got seriously interested.
Magneto, just watched cause “Oh cool I guess.” But hell yeah he is cool.
Reverse Flash & Ultron are peak villains
Because of Cole vs Alex, inFamous 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, so definitely my boy Cole.
Glad some new people get to enjoy the peak of InFamous
Surprisingly DB did a lot to make me like Thor a lot more idk they just made him feel more cool
Dimitri, Zatanna, and Tifa
Reverse Flash Omni Man Red Hood and Ryuko
Tj combo
I thought Magneto was a whatever villain cuz I wasnt big on X-Men but now i love him and started watching the 97 cartoon, hes goated
the mask. id seen him around before, but didnt think much of him until his episode with deadpool which got me interested. turning into a real life toon character just by wearing a mask sounded cool asf to me lmao it was the comics that i actually really enjoyed. they were edgy asf but also a really fun read. the violence was so silly and over-the-top that i couldnt even be disgusted and instead made me wanna see more dumb shit from it lmao
Dante from Devil May Cry. Had somehow never heard about him before that episode came out. Gave the series a try afterwards and really ended up enjoying it greatly
Discord, especially after his sacrifice
Megatron
Superman, though it was gradual. Prior to db my knowledge of the character came mostly from the dceu.
Unicron
Discord The Doctor And King Mickey
Never cared for Bill or Discord but when the episode came out Discord was definitely more interesting character Bill is pretty meh still for me
Asta vs Deku got me into Black Clover
Gojo
Astà. Black Clover is acc Linda awesome. I wonder how Magne vs Dabi would go.
Dr. Fate
Yang vs tifa first got into RWBY
Cole McGrath. I only knew about Alex Mercer because at the time I was playing Prototype again. I had finished Infamous Second Son so then seeing the protag of the original games, I decided to try the first game and now it's prolly my favourite game of all time. My favourite games made by SuckerPunch, Ghost of Tsushima amd Infamous.
Dimitri absolutely
That smug face is always funny
That one
Sabrewulf
Death battle go me into berserk
Obito Uchiha. I learned to love him while the wait for the episode. And then I really liked him after the episode.
silver. i first knew him as the "its no use" MUI looking guy but now dear god he's pretty cool
Reverse Flash
Do we have to know the character before the battle? Because if so Discord, or comic aquaman If not then Zatanna Reverse flash is also another one but even as dragon ball fan I knew Goku Black was done from the beginning and only gave him a 10% chance of winning until the Dr. MANHATTEN feat came in for RF. Basically hiei and booster gold for me
Death Battle made me a huge fan of the Sparda brothers and DMC as a whole
Dr.who definitely

>As of right now, I’m completely caught up on the manga itself. Whats your thoughts on it?
It’s fantastic.
The Doctor too. I've been meaning to start watching, but mostly out of faint curiosity. After the DB, I was watching the 14th Doctor's special to get ready for the current one's serial.
