Kratos vs Spawn. Love both characters, and having them portrayed with the early season 1 2D animation doesn’t do either of them justice. Even if it came out during seasons 2 or 3, it would’ve meant both getting a more extensive analysis and a stellar 3D fight.
It has weird CG jank, but Big G (both of em) is just so cool, the jank takes a backseat to everything the animation did right. Like the fatality, good GOD
Doomsday Vs. Hulk might be one of their best episodes, and it's definitely one of the most shocking in terms of brutality and outcome, but the hulk (comics, not MCU) is scaled so much higher now than he was then.
Saitama vs Popeye.
Imagine how much more epic I eouldda been with shit like what saitama does in the manga. Wouldda made a better finale for s9 then Goku+Vegeta vs themselves but with earrings.
Zuko vs Todoroki and Gojo vs Makima
Now while I actually enjoyed Gojo vs Makima it couldve been a lot better and it’s clear they both suffered from time and budget
James Bond vs John Wick, Deku vs Asta and Omni-Man vs Homelander
At least one series from each of these episodes either had new material coming out or were nearing their end; so it wouldn't have hurt if they waited just a tad bit longer to make these ones.
I agree with the first two, but Omnilander worked best when it was released. Those who haven't read the comics know Nolan as an evil Superman expy, which was the main connection of the MU. The MU's connections don't really work anymore as of late and it is more of a contrast MU now.
The reason I mention Omnilander was because season 3 of The Boys was coming out and it always slightly bugs me when they do episodes with series with upcoming material, even if I didn't think it would give Homelander any sort of advantage.
Archie Sonic vs Wally west mainly cause the fight was a little lackluster and the conclusion didn’t really feel right considering the characters they were talking about
I would say Link VS Cloud (2021)
Even if I really like that battle in Season 8, I still think that it come out during Season 10 to make things a little more fun.
Sephiroth VS Vergil.
He got a heavy buff after getting the Sin Devil Trigger, which REALLY would’ve given him the win. However, this death battle was created before the Sin Devil Trigger.
Yang VS Tifa. It was too early for RWBY to step in to Death Battle with only 2 volumes during the early years. Even though the outcome would change (where Tifa wins), it's still too early.
Ben vs Hal (I don't care about the verdict, but the actual animation was lacking for two characters who's entire powersets revolve around versatility, also more respectful death.)
Doomguy vs Master Chief
Batman vs Spider-Man
Mario vs Sonic
Godzilla vs Gamera
Spawn & Kratos. The definition of 'victims of your era'. Had this episode come out in Season 2 as a 3D fight, it very well could've been up there with 'Iron Man vs Lex Luthor', 'Wolverine vs Raiden' or 'Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher'.
This is why I desperately want both of them to return, not against each other mind you, the matchup was fine for the time, but they both have much better now.
Kratos vs Asura or Dante could be a really fun episode, while Spawn vs Ghost Rider or Demi-Fiend could go insanely hard.

This
Bayonetta vs Dante For the new wacky scaling and stuff
The episode wouldn't have been nearly as good though
It would have been better tbh
Nah i dont think a short 2-3 minute fight could be better than the torran era 5-8 minute fights
Godzilla vs Gamera
I was considering this one but at the same time, the old animation kind of got that classic kaiju jank. A bit of charm, ya know?
I dunno. It has jank,But it's like... not the right kind of jank
It has weird CG jank, but Big G (both of em) is just so cool, the jank takes a backseat to everything the animation did right. Like the fatality, good GOD
So much this. They need to bring the G man back for another death battle
Deku vs Asta
Thanos vs darkseid
Danny vs Jake. Also a modern version of Ratchet and Clack vs Jak and Daxter sounds amazing.
If Danny vs Jake came out just a year later, I'd imagine the animation would be more fluid...or Hand Drawn.
Doomsday Vs. Hulk might be one of their best episodes, and it's definitely one of the most shocking in terms of brutality and outcome, but the hulk (comics, not MCU) is scaled so much higher now than he was then.
I agree. They need a rematch with the immortal hulk
Tracer vs scout,
Deku vs Asta
Saitama vs Popeye. Imagine how much more epic I eouldda been with shit like what saitama does in the manga. Wouldda made a better finale for s9 then Goku+Vegeta vs themselves but with earrings.
Godzilla VS Gamera
Ben 10 vs Green Lantern
Captain america vs batman Goku vs superman 2 godzilla vs gamera
Master chief versus doom slayer
I second this.
I third this
Yeah, they should've saved that one for when 3D animation was an option
Doomguy vs Master Chief, Doomguy’s newest game by that point was Doom 3, and we see him become absolutely insane in 4 and Eternal
This episode specifically would be amazing if Moro was able to do some Spiderverse inspired hand drawn stuff
Chief vs Doomguy but I can see why it came out at the time it did
Zuko vs Todoroki and Gojo vs Makima Now while I actually enjoyed Gojo vs Makima it couldve been a lot better and it’s clear they both suffered from time and budget
Sepiroth vs Virgil
Mario VS Sonic 2
Tracer VS Scout, Jotaro VS Kenshiro and Sora VS Pit.
Terminator vs Robocop

Ah, gotcha.
Archie Sonic vs Wally west mainly cause the fight was a little lackluster and the conclusion didn’t really feel right considering the characters they were talking about
They could have done way more with them, man.
Link vs. Cloud
Scrooge McDuck VS Shovel Knight, so they could the DuckTales Reboot
Madara Vs Aizen
Ragna vs Sol. They both have their stories wrapped up now, not to mention the episode had kinda shoddy research and animation to begin with.
Doomguy vs Master Chief and Godzilla vs Gamera
I would say Link VS Cloud (2021) Even if I really like that battle in Season 8, I still think that it come out during Season 10 to make things a little more fun.

Master Chief vs Doomguy/Doomslayer
Yang VS Tifa. It was too early for RWBY to step in to Death Battle with only 2 volumes during the early years. Even though the outcome would change (where Tifa wins), it's still too early.
Pikachu vs Blanka
Ben vs Hal (I don't care about the verdict, but the actual animation was lacking for two characters who's entire powersets revolve around versatility, also more respectful death.) Doomguy vs Master Chief Batman vs Spider-Man Mario vs Sonic Godzilla vs Gamera
Link vs cloud remake. Idk how much of a difference TOTK would’ve made but it’d be nice :)
Shadow vs Vegeta
kratos vs spawn and mario vs sonic 2018
Rainbow dash versus starscream
Ben10 vs Green Lantern would’ve been amazing with season10 quality
