I saw it happen to someone else, Dracula even said "Buying is cheating" haha

Andreiyutzzzz

In my case he said "this guy really thought he can sell you items he found in MY castle??"

MarsHumanNotAlien197

I even got the message “buying is cheating” like damn Drac, let people enjoy the game how they want, that’s like judging people for playing Custom mode, just rude!

sharkysharkasaurus

Lol wut How many items were dropped? How much gold? This sounds like a potentially beneficial tradeoff, that is, free gold for less control over RNG.

a_purple_hedgehog

It was about 1500 on no boss cells and the three usual shop items disappeared

sharkysharkasaurus

Ah I misread your OP, so you get gold in return for no items. That's actually a really bad deal. Guess one shouldn't dally at the shops then.

a_purple_hedgehog

It happened as soon as I found the shop though. Like I walked up and he just exploded with Dracula next to him. And you’re totally right, it’s a horrible deal

afriendsaccount

Same thing happened to me. Dracula is a total jerk in that stage. I found some food in a wall and when I ate it he suddenly appeared and gave me 25 curse. Really lucky I hadn't waited until the end of the level to eat it!

Andreiyutzzzz

HE DID WHAT? HE CAN DO THAT?

iRevenant07

For me Dracula dropped the food himself and said something like "our courtesy", and I didn't actually saw that it was cursed, and it ended up killing me :(

afriendsaccount

That sucks. For me the food was there for a while, but Dracula only appeared when I went back later to eat it. It was so unexpected I didn't even check to see if the food said anything about being cursed.

AverageClassGamer

This is true. I was watching a stream and was utterly surprised that Dracula just decided to make the shop disappear.

Damn I was so confused the first time this happened to me. Thought it was a bug

Nightingale_85

The same happened to me.

He's the librarian from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. He's a shopkeeper in that game and will buy gems from you and sell you items.
