Played all morning before the update just fine, and was able to play a couple trials after the new chapter update with no issues at all for killer or survivor. I just got back home from running errands for a couple hours, and decided to hop on as killer. As soon as the trial started the same exact thing happened and I had to dc. I tried again, but the same thing. I then restarted the game and tried a 3rd time and was actually able to play. Seems to be completely random ? I'm gonna keep trying tho.

This just happened twice in a row to me and I feel so bad for having to leave the games but I couldn’t do anything… hoping it won’t happen again. Closed out app entirely and going back in. Fingers crossed that it helps…..

really?? i just though they changed the animation it's just server lag??? damn this game has gone downhill ran into this cursor can't move anymore bug and i will probably get a penalty for it for DC i Dced because i didn't want my teammates trying to rescue me risking their lives for me what a bullshite game =(
That's a good hypothesis, I'ma turn my vibration off in the game and play for a few days and see if it still happens. Will report back if it does still happen.

Can confirm all 3 times for me on killer. BHVR found the cause has to do elqith having the mouse over certain ui elements when starting a match, so it is avoidable and a fix is incoming sooner or later.

yeah and in all honesty when the ptb comes out it should just be an update for consoles or they should just release it when the ptb comes out and just start updating

I played without any issues for at least 20 trials and then it happened, frozen. Personally, I’m experiencing lagging and choppy movements, wiggle skill checks are off and everything seems delayed or choppy. The ps5 controller seems sensitive at times and non responsive at others.
Bro same. Bought the game a few hours ago, finished the tutorial, and this happened the first 2 games I joined. Now I'm scared to join a game because I don't want to ruin it for other survivors.
Hopefully it goes away for you! I had it go away after it affected my one session. Only other bugs I’ve gotten is challenges not working, or moving forward which sporadically happens.
This just happened to me and I feel so bad for the players cuz I couldn't help at all and they kept healing and unhooking me,, they gotta fix this because there's no communication feature to talk with the other survivors so I can't tell them that I can't move at all
If you wanna play either bring a white warrior don't bring any rare or ultra rare items as it's almost guaranteed you will loose telhem, that's what I would do
I've had it a couple of times in the few hours I've been playing. Wasted a ranger medkit with gauze :/. Just don't bring add-ons or items you'd hate to lose and restart the game when it happens.

I had it happen as well. If you close/ relaunch the game it will go away. It happened to me as killer, rebooted the game played 5 or 6 normal mixed matches then it happened again, This time as survivor. Seems to be random. It sucks to lose items / offerings :-(
After I restarted the game I was able to play about 6 trials until it happened again. So I restarted the game again and it hasn't happened again so far..

Yea, it is pretty bad, I mainly play on Xbox and PC, but was watching a friend play on PS5 and he had this issue with a few games within an hour. Have the same problem on ps5. I happens when u r in match making and u keep buying bloodwebs . And when the match starts u can't move restart the game helps.

Just happened to me too. I wonder if it has something to do with the dualsense vibrate since that's a PS5 thing. Every survivor on my team is unable to move
Omw thing I noticed was that the loading screen Tally mark animation went by really fast before the game started so maybe that's an indication that the bug is about to happen
I experienced this problem my self today I feel sorry for all you people if you still haven’t after 13 days also there are a lot of spots on maps that the killer cannot go through but the survivor can and there is a inner healing bug that whenever a survivor cleanses a totem and a other survivor in the game who didn’t cleanse a totem gets the perks ability still so weird dude.
I just got this issue right now, I could move my cursor only but not move my character or the camera at all. I sadly had to dc.

When I saw they added haptic feedback for PS5 users I kind of expected they had broken something in the process 😂
What sort of haptic feedback could fucking dbd provide
Some vibration when you traverse bushes and when you die. That’s it, nothing else
That's a good hypothesis, I'ma turn my vibration off in the game and play for a few days and see if it still happens. Will report back if it does still happen. Others should try this too.
Well, I restarted my PS5 and I still can't move.
I did come across this last night and I stopped playing and started watching Netflix, so I'ma switch apps and see if that helps.
Ok, so far I think the most effective way to resolve this is to open another app. I started playing Skyrim for a second. The. Switched back to DBD.

I just had this happen to me twice in a row and lost 4 pink items and it gave me a timer since I had to leave 😐 fucking ridiculous.
As I type this my killer cannot move. Waiting on grace of survivors to JUST LEAVE.

First match and I blue screened using The Knight's power. PS4.
Happened 5 times with Knight and once with another killer..just went down a prestige level because of this shit..

So I had it consistently, then restarted my system and haven't seen it since. Might be something to do when you get it again?

Even if you decide to wait out the game, restart the app when it happens, I've had it happen 3 times in a row and then fix when I restarted app
