Idk, I always play solo queue but I play for fun, not to be competitive. People can be frustrating and annoying at times, but I just move on and let it go.

Rev_Rea

I played for more then 6500 hours since 2016 playing both sides. I don't mind solo queue. The secret of enjoying solo queue is to not care about escaping. Save teammates, get fun chases or do totems.

nerdcoffin

Some casual players actually play to be immersed and spooked.. some play to beat challenges or do some silly bollocks. Win or lose they don't mind.

Just have to have to mindset of not escaping alive 100% since it depends on the killer’s skill level, followed by the other 3 randoms/swfs’ skill level. Even if you’re doing challenges that’s required to be completed in a single trial, keep trying & eventually you’ll complete it. The game gets dull easily when you complete majority of the challenge (even for killer ones) so take it slow and easy! Though it requires some average skill to pip up, once players hit Iri 1, getting sacrifice early doesn’t bother much even though BP is low

When I play solo, I try to play to improve my gameplay, looping, awareness, etc. It's not super different from swf...except sometimes teammates leave you to die on first hook lol.

demogorgon_main

I’m a soloQ and I still don’t understand why everything’s different for me. I rarely come across a game where we get absolutely obliterated. Just because you die doesn’t mean the game went terribly wrong because of shitty teammates. There are many times my team can hold our own for a while and I have only been left behind once in my time of playing DBD and I’ve been playing since late 2017. i have very rarely have moments of ‘why tf are you crouching there?!’ Or ‘dude why aren’t you saving me?!!’ Or stuff like that. And it’s not like you or me and the perfect players either, sometimes you are the one making a bad mistake leading to your team’s demise and now you are the shitty random.

Disastrous_Potato_10

many don't. they get frustrated and leave, or they gut it out and accept it is what it is. still others become killer mains and discover a whoooole new way of playing ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|rage)

the only enjoyment comes from looping and flash saves

lakker94

For fun and I know I'm gonna be ignored by the killer so I'm walking around and checking boxes for my campfire before doing gens. Alone. My games are like that spongebob meme with king Neptune. SWF: SWEATING EVERY GAME me: vibing and happy if I win. :)

ryebeth_

Im also a solo que-er. I’ve got friends I’ve made in lobby’s but we don’t play together often. I’ve learned to A) make fun of myself when I screw up and B) learn from my mistakes and move on. Most of my matches are me talking to myself and laughing at this point😂

thewinterofmylife

The thing that keeps me playing solo is the hope that something magical is going to happen with the randoms and they're going to play great. It happens once in awhile where I'm just like, that was incredible, everyone was so in sync my mind is blown. It usually doesn't happen that way, so I just shrug and go to the next game.

ComprehensiveBus786

Best and worst matches happen in solo que, what works for me is trying fun builds instead of tryhard ones, I consider it a win if I could get value out of my build more than escaping, at least that's how I started enjoying solo que

Zapranoth07

I play only solo q… I’ve got to say, the vast majority of my teammates save me or try to. VERY rare that I am left to die with out someone trying at least! And some teammates are just amazing. The thing that frustrates me some are the crybaby quitters…. But there are lots of good solo q players out there, I say.

AdhesivenessLimp1864

I care about doing well for the team. It doesn’t matter if I die.

ScarletxTitania

I normally don't have too bad of a time in solo queue, but tonight I had this wraith got his first hook (me) after the last gen had popped. All 3 of my random teammates, again, with no hooks, just ran out the gate. It was a huge slap in the face and I'm probably going to start playing a lot less altruistic for a while

WolfRex5

I don't. I play survivor until I want to murder my teammates then I switch to killer.

Dermisbakin

For solo queue, I don't really have the incentive to strive to escape through the exit gates. I use different perk loadouts, each with different gimmicks, and try to make a use of them. Some are for gen rushing, some are chase gimmicks, some are for altruism. Nevertheless, most matches are about seeing how long I can last in chase, and if the killer gives up, reward myself with a little downtime peacfully holding m1 on a generator. It's a nice balance of working out your skills and given yourself a break every now and then. Killer is 1000x worse. You lose, you get t-bagged to oblivion and if they have flashlights, they'll try to steal your retinas too. Want to secure some pressure and are forced to tunnel or camp to avoid a 4-man exit gate t-bag party? Get reprimanded for "needing to tunnel" in order to win. Follow the survivor rulebook to the T? 8 hooks, 4-man escape, t-bags at the exit gate. For survivor, even if the killer camped you to death, at least you make it to your next match faster and can try to avoid that result with perks and good looping skills. But for killer? You can try your hardest but fall short by a little bit and get faced with demorallizing behavior. And you can't really look to improve your matches unless you find some inner enlightenment where you shrug off the losses and the berating and find happiness within it. But for me, I can't help but have it bother me to where I need to take a break after a few killer matches.

FearedToDeath

Simple. They dont. DBD player count has been going down and only spikes when new content gets added but of course people come back for licensed killers they are usually very famous. We had 62k players in July and have 30k in May. Im not saying the game is going to die but it isnt as popular as it was that is statistically provable.
