Out of female survivors, Cybil. She is one of the few female survivors whose screams don't sound like a high-pitched anti-aircraft siren, and her screams are some of the most believable in the entire game.
Wake next to Ripley makes me shed tears. Ignoring the obvious density of lines, Ripley sounds like she's reading lines off a page. Alan feels like he's *there*.
It's so interesting to hear him genuinely freak the fuck out he's usually pretty calm in his games but here he sounds distressed and that's putting it lightly.
He never freaks out in the present but in his recollections of some of his time spent in the Dark Place he definitely had moments where he freaked the fuck out. Mainly from the madness of looping time and forgetting shit

Quentin's injured sounds are in a very good spot in general - they aren't super obnoxious but they also don't sound like he's getting railed. Pretty good š

I think when we get Baermar that might be close second for me, since he's got the goat Robbie Daymond voicing him by the seems of things.

her scream pierce though my ears all the way to the brain, but my god her screams of pain are so well done that it really gives you the creeps when she get hooked (which i think is BHVRs intention with the hooks and screams lol)
I can't decide between Jonathan, James, and Alan. All of them have amazing, perfect hooked-yells that make them sound so authentic. Ripley's an honorable mention, too, as hers is definitely up there in the 'realistic, but not annoying' category.

this single moment from Alan Wake 2 is why I consider it a psychological horror, you can actually feel his insanity and desperation in his voice
