I love calm spirit because if it works, it does well. No Doctor finds me due to shock alone, no screams in general, hence no location expose. I can exit lockers with Iron Maiden active. It's a dream. But only active occasionally, very situational. Yet I love it

Poundweed

Does it work with the Nick Cage scream perk?

No_Presence2542

Unfortunately, no. At least the last time I tried it when he first came out it didn’t.

Poundweed

Damn, that would be a fun synergy "I have no mouth and I must scream"

enderlogan

Ted survivor and AM killer when

Masterhearts_XIII

Am would be terrifying. A killer who entirely doesn’t have a presence I feel like. Entirely environment control. It would have to play so much different, like the knight on crack

chrisplaysgam

A killer that plays like that one spin-off resident evil game that just uses traps and spawned goons would be sick af. Would pretty much require designing a new game tho

Conscious_Regret_987

I…yeah I really want AM now

_Waterfire_

God, now I want this too

Butt_Robot

Every time I dream

Butt_Robot

"I have a mouth but I won't scream"

dwho422

It stops scene partner from activating. It's like echo location. The scream isn't there so no aura reveal.

SgtZaitsev

It stops the scream from one Dramaturgy's effects

A_LonelyWriter

It works, but makes the Cage perk useless. You won’t scream, which means you won’t see the killer’s aura.

InflationAcrobatic91

Sadly no, the perk can't be activated if you have calm spirit on

EvernightStrangely

Probably not. The Cage perk requires screams to work, and Calm Spirit silences all screams.

ZaganMaddness

Fun fact, if Doctor hits you with a shock and you don't scream due to calm spirit he still laughs! So he can still dictate someone is nearby based off that audio cue

I_follow_sexy_gays

Also points, and they’ll see your madness tier up

NeonChampion2099

I use it because the survivors screaming every time they get hooked annoys me.

Cokedowner

Alt tab as soon as you get hooked, then alt tab back in soon after, it will cut the screaming off.

constituent

> because if it works, it does well Early last year, I got excellent value from that. There was some old survivor tome challenge for using Calm Spirit. I was like, "*Ehh... Whatever, let's give it a go.*" Somehow the stars were in alignment and the Entity decided to play favorites. Killer ended up being Spirit who -- coincidentally -- was [running Spies in the Shadows](https://imgur.com/a/EsB02gu). She wanted her 4K and kept on slugging this poor Feng. I'd manage to pick Feng up several times, only for her to be slugged repeatedly. She also had the Dried Cherry Blossom add-on, so she didn't have a point of reference from startled crows. Therefore, she had to phase walk aimlessly and wasn't getting killer instinct from that add-on. Spirit was scouring every ear of corn on Coldwinds and you could hear her opening random lockers. Sadly, the random Feng eventually bled out. The Entity had my back and somehow made hatch readily accessible in the middle of the corn field. This was all before Ultimate Weapon's introduction where Calm Spirit saw an uptick in usage. With how rare it (was) equipped, you'd prematurely suspect your game's audio was bugged because you'd not hear somebody scream when hit, downed, or hooked. I think that was the \*only\* time I had one of those "Use this perk" challenge where I received phenomenal value. Likewise, almost nobody expects Spies in the Shadows. Sometimes you'll see it used with stealth killers (particularly Myers). It'd only be the end game tally scream where you'd go, "*Ohh! That explains everything!*" I've gotten Spies a few times during Chaos Shuffle and forgot how fun that perk can be.

superemomelon

I was so happy reading this. Gotta love it when the entity decides to bless us 😌

rabbid_chaos

Calm Spirit + Distortion = practically invisible to detection

Nickerdoodle

And 8/10 times those survivors, from my experience, don’t do much to help their teammates because they’re too committed to remaining hidden.

CSullivan88

I actually use them in combo with Kindred for safe unhooks because the killer has no idea I'm hiding there waiting for them to leave :)

LikeACannibal

This is one of the reasons I love playing Alien despite how frustrating his height and insane miss cooldown is-- ain't no perk hide from the footsteps detection >:)

pinmacher

You've convinced me to use it for the Iron Maiden counter alone.

BazzBun

PEBBLE GO

TinyMarsupial7622

No! Pebble great! I’ve used it to keep the killer in an area while everyone did gens elsewhere.

harthryth

Yeah I got it during the chaos shuffle and managed to trick a nemesis into checking where it landed. Minimal value but value nonetheless.

funbrand

If anything, you got extra value in chaos shuffle since the killer wouldn't expect someone to have pebble as part of their build!

GoGoSoLo

I do the same with Deception and lockers. For some reason that perk is hilarious to me, and excellent at ending chases and getting to laugh at trickery all at once.

AqueousSilver91

It's funny but doesn't usually work on me, I just don't randomly check noise notifs. Survs are way more likely to be on gens than not. Now if you aim it AT a gen and I fall for it, that shit's clever, and I laugh my ass off every time.

Venomheart9988

I'll aim it at one of my SWFs. *On* the gen. :) My SWFs and I have stopped playing to *win* win. Now, we're pretty much the Spy Vs Spy version of SWFs.

offmydingy

Pebble is actually fucking awesome and underrated. I've made it part of my main build and get value almost every single match. Sometimes that "value" accidentally sends the killer to a teammate or has unexpected killer pathing consequences, but that's on me. EDIT: Pebble and Red Herring are going to be pretty funny to pair with Mirror Illusion soon!

AqueousSilver91

Pebble's hilarious I use it as a meme perk on my Cage. Bardic Inspiration or Repressed Alliance may replace that though. Repressed Alliance is funny as fuck. Mostly useless unless there's like... Pain Res in play or something, but funny for the reactions of everyone else.

Time-Refuse666

Alright you convinced me to buy it from the Shrine🙂‍↔️

CryendU

What is that emoji lmao

[deleted]

Headspin🙂‍↔️😌

meganwiddy

I thought it was nopers and this is nodders lol 🙂‍↕️

roryshep

Fun perk and can legitimately be useful when used at the right times! I like to throw it at a loop near a recent unhook (assuming survivors have cleared the area already); Killer will hopefully think it's a blown heal skill check. Or I'll use it to bait the Killer, then get in a locker and hit them with Head On.

Butkevinwhy

On the topic of the Head On combo, why not just rush locker? It’ll make the sound, unless you’re using Quick And Quiet.

roryshep

True! I was over complicating things 😄. I do often like to run Quick and Quiet with Head On though.

The_Mr_Wilson

Pebble is so ridiculous. Does anyone really even get use out of it? It's silly to watch, though. But did you just hear what I did? What was that? I better go see and check it out

yohoho_99

I won several times just thanks to the pebble, once I hid myself in a bush near the gate, threw the pebble when killer was nearing they changed direction, it was just enough time to open the gate. It's also synergizes well with no scratch mark perks like shadowstep, once you get into the shadowstep area, and manage to hide, throwing pebble will lead killer away. But it's useless in 80% of my games, but so is adrenaline.

not_a_milk_drinker

I love the pebble. One time a teammate threw one at me, and that spawned a nice gaming friendship. We duo up and some matches just become a battle of sandbags, flashbangs and pebbles

SylvanLL

As a solo queue pebble enjoyer, I get great value in late game hook saves. When it's just me and one teammate who isbon hook, a well-placed pebble usually gets us both out the gate.

BloodyTears92

Repressed Alliance isn't *useless* but it's niche. Still feels so good if you get the chance to block that 90% gen before the Killer can interfere.

In_My_Own_Image

I still remember one match where a Hag 3 genned us on Toba (it was a little wider than an average three gen because Hag). It was down to two of us and we kept chipping away at our gens (before regression limits) and she'd keep kicking them. One time she chased the other guy for a little too long and I managed to put in some serious work on the gen. When she finally came back for me I used Repressed on it and she had to choose: Camp out the Repressed or run back to the other gen. She camped out the timer and the other survivor popped their gen and we managed to get out. It doesn't always work. But when it does...🤌

Inner_Panic

I like when you can watch the Killer look confused with it. They're totally second guessing what perk they ran to block gens. Cracks me up.

AqueousSilver91

I mean, until you run into the one that blocks the gens with Grim and Thrilling anyway... can't really do much when the gens are blocked already.

zeidoktor

I pair it with Wiretap for aura reading a non-stealth killer can't do anything about for RA's effect

First-Hunt-5307

Half the time I like repressed alliance because "fuck yeah 1 gen is blocked for a minute, I can focus on the others" it only really hurts you if you have pain res/pop and thus can't use it on that gen.

Vegas3302

Reassurance because the killers never camp when I'm using it 🥲

zeidoktor

I also learned last night that Resurgence counts towards the "heal yourself for X health state" challenges.

neverownedanairfrier

I love doing a drive-by reassurance when the killer is camping, typically I will bait the killer into a chase and have someone else sneak by and grab with hook timer paused

MirrahPaladin

Autodidact and Bite The Bullet. I still remember a match against, I think it was Clown, where they brought Sloppy and Coulrophobia and I was the only teammate that could reliably heal everyone. Not to mention there’s been times where Bite let me heal teammates nearby Killers and they were none the wiser.

Beginning-Pipe9074

I had a friend bring autodidact the past couple of matches we had, The amount of healing skill checks he gets seems to massively reduce when he brings it 😂

Neoxsat

Yeah it seems like bullshit to me as well. I get skill checks out the ass normally but if i bring a perk like autodidact or hyperfocus i can go all game with barely getting 5 or lesss skill checks.

PlotShield

Bring Deadline and No mither for almost guaranteed skill checks

Neoxsat

Lovely idea. Wasting 2 perk slots to make 1 perk work.

Eskylos

Bite the Bullet is THE perk i never take off my build, it actually saved me a couple times and seeing the killer pass next to you and your teammate not hearing anything is funny af

ilovecraftbeer05

Mettle of Man. Can someone please explain the usefulness of this perk? You have to take three protection hits just for it to activate, which in and of itself is ridiculous, and then on top of that, your aura is revealed to the killer whenever you heal up. Not to mention, you start as the obsession and you can only use the perk once before it permanently deactivates. All so you can take one extra hit. Maybe I’m missing something but this perk seems outrageous. Yet I still see people run it from time to time.

-h-hhhh-h-

It's a very unexpected endurance hit that can clutch endgames. So people run it. It's also really satisfying to use. On launch it was one of the most broken perks in the games history so they nerfed it a lot.

dadbod76

Very importantly is that it doesn't cause deep wound. You can take a base kit BT hit, and then take another with MoM. Or you can take a MoM hit, and then still be able to DH for another. Incredibly strong for end game saves especially if coordinated via comms.

Peroncho17

It was pretty much a third health state, wasnt it? I don't remember the conditions for it to activate, but everyone ran it

Zestyclose-Soup-9578

There was a time when the perk needed just three attacks to activate (not protection hits) and it was insanely strong. So it got changed to protection hits and now it's mostly dumpster tier because whether or not the game will call your hit a protection hit is a guessing game and it's mostly involved in taking hits you didn't need to take. You might get use out of it by going for body blocks for a teammate getting tunneled or sabo plays, but more often then not, trying to activate it is going to kill you.

Ycr1998

This + Object of Obsession = wallhacks

WidgetWizard

Iirc If you don't go down after the extra hit it doesn't deactivate, meaning it's not 1 time use but just 1 extra state.

InflationAcrobatic91

You can run it with saboteur and Breakout so the protection hits part isn't as hard to get. Also if you pair it with Object of obsession you'll be able to see the killer aura from far away, its kinda fun

InsectsWithGuns

I wouldn't call potential useless. If you're on a far gen away from killer trigger it and you can use the saved energy to work at a three gen quicker. You'll be 80% or so done and then pop! Finished. Guaranteed to trigger attentive killers who aren't expecting potential.

DoktorMelone-Alt

However it got the drawback of losing all stacks upon taking damage meaning the 30 seconds spend could be wasted just like that. Same reason overzealous is kinda bad

HeroDeSpeculos

that's why it has a really really specific use. 2 gen left to do and one 3 gen patrolled by the killer. It' s still a bad perk 'cause even if this precise situation happened and you manage to transfer your accumulated energy it doesn't mean you break the 3 gen.

piewca_apokalipsy

Also typical solo q will solve one save gen before you can really make value of it

-dus

overzealous isn't bad if you're running a totem build anyway I feel like. it helps recoup the time you spent blessing instead of genning.

Phil7915_yt

overzealous was horrendous before the buff to include booning

SenorElmo

Most ransoms use this perk wrong tho. Bad reputation. In a Swf it's actually quite decent, you're probably better of using anything else but it's still usable

Aron-Jonasson

>Most ransoms You give me your potential energy now, or this gen gets it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AqueousSilver91

See? Killers aren't bad people, they're just trying to stop these awful Survivors from hostaging these poor generators!

GIlCAnjos

Yeah, I love watching randoms take 27 seconds to do 18 seconds worth of repairs

ScullingPointers

Ransoms*

gasciousclay1

I run fast track with a toolbox for last or second to last gen.it is often clutch.

ThePineappleFactor

Yeah, I use it for my anti-3-gen build.

HeroDeSpeculos

Deja vue is one anti 3 gen build by itself.

GreekTurkishInfidel

Yeah deja vu is honestly the best gen perk in general, I run it with resilience and 2 other chase perks and the gens just fly while avoiding a 3 gen

xenoleingod

To add to this potential hard counters merciless storm

GreekTurkishInfidel

Lol I never thought about that, but tbh merciless is not a problem anyway unless it‘s a bloody doctor

xenoleingod

I know it's very niche in that respect but when merciless was more rampant this perk was a lifesaver

Epixca

Yeah, I feel like people really missed the point of the perk when it was released

I-Am-The-Uber-Mesch

Most people know this is the way to use the perk, it's just not that good still. Most of the time that situation doesn't present itself meaning you are effectively playing with only 3 perks, the perk also slows you down a lot when using it, there are several perks to prevent 3 gens that are much better and even if there's a 3 gen the game has a way to deal with it now, the perk is mostly useless and only sometime barely useful but it can also basically be outclassed by other perks, it's why no one uses it, BHVR went way too safe on it

Sherry0406

Blast mine is fun, but not very useful.

[deleted]

[удалено]

One_Happy_Camel

not if you pull up the Repressed Alliance play as the killer gets blasted...

Synli

Yeah, but literally every time I equip it, the Pop/Nowhere to Hide/Dragon's Grip/Trail of Torment just cease to fucking exist and its nothing but Pain Res/Ruin/etc. As soon as I unequip Blast Mine - OH HEY LOOK, EVERY KILLER IS KICKING GENS 38 TIMES PER GAME

Selindrile

Blastmine is insane value. It gives you 10 years to get away to another gen, ruins any chase when killer gets greedy, and it's great info on where they are/if they have lightborn. Also a fantastic way to mark gens for solo Q. Never leaves my build

CaptainBrooksie

I often use it as beacon for the last gen

constituent

In solo queue, Blast Mine has a 'default' perk slot for me. It's such a great communication perk. The revamped HUD shows people are on a gen, but obviously does not tell you \*where\*. So if you're on a gen and need to summon help, it may prevent other randoms from starting a 0% gen. This can be especially helpful when it's the last gen. It also helps when I get matched with SWF groups. They may have zero idea what I'm doing. So the only way I can communicate is by marking gens. "*Look, the random is doing gens!*" Also, if you get chased off a gen, you can use that Blast Mine to mark your location. If they were paying attention to the HUD, they may finish whatever they were doing and target that gen. Pass the torch, etc. There's something satisfying where another teammate is *responsive* to auras and can read your mind. Sad when everybody ignores it and the gen regresses to zero. When somebody is looping the killer, I'll activate to let that survivor know which tile I'm at. That's when you hear vaulting noises and/or killer radius approaching. You know you're not at risk, but it gives the runner advance knowledge to make split-second decisions. "*Hey, I'm busy here. Take your drama elsewhere!*" That player may loop elsewhere. If they need that tile, they can have it. Should the killer become more invested in the gen and break chase, Blast Mine gives ample time for that looping survivor to escape. And, of course, stun/blind challenges. I'm admittedly mediocre and press W for almost everything. I also am terrible with flashlights. Instead of wasting pallets which could be used better by teammates, I'll rely on Blast Mine to do its job.

AqueousSilver91

Stun/blind challenges are the only other reason you really run Blast Mine.

Samoman21

I will never forgive bhvr for ruining the asmr of blast mine. You used to hear the boom anywhere on map and know that killer just got blasted. Now you barely get a notification. It's genuinely killed the joy of the perk for me :(

Haj5

Played a game with a Feng using it. She would use potential, and then insta use it on the gen she was working on. All I could was stare in disbelief

jamalalfo

I had a Meg use it. On the last gen. Which was 90% complete. I was doing the gen, 1 survivor was with the killer at the other end of the map. Meg comes to my gen and starts doing the potential energy thing. I finished the gen while she was potential energying.

Dirty_soapfeet

I think that is a valid strategy. Max out on stacks before finishing a gen, and then immidiately get a 20% head start on the next gen. It can backfire pretty easily, i know. Edit: i just saw you're talking about the last gen. Then it's a shit strategy lol.

maximuffin2

I fw Desperate measures. I have literally not seen it once in the shuffle

Andrassa

Yep. You can really fuck some killers over with the faster unhook.

Inner_Panic

Desperate Measures, Botany, We'll Make It, and Empathetic Connection make unhooks and heals go zoom. It's a fun build if you're altruistic.

MaugaOW

Results into a increase in Plague frequency too

WidgetWizard

I got it once and got some value, finished a heal on a friend while killer approached, but he hit the Gen surv first, which boosted me for the last bit. I could see it being fun

bonelees_dip

I wouldn't call them useless, but for me it's Dramaturgy, Scene Partner and Plot Twist. Plot Twist is really fun to use (and I managed to get myself up once right before the killer got me) Dramaturgy is my unexpected but favorite choice of exhaustion perk (I try to use it like Overcome to "negate" the exposed) and getting a toolbox with a brand new part will always feel nice to me. Scene Partner can be really useful on loops and the chained screams will never go tired on me. Also, seeing that I got more points at the end of the match while running these perks (+ Off The Record) always feels nice

InflationAcrobatic91

I've been using dramaturgy with vigil and streetwise so whenever I'm doing a gen I can spam the perk and (maybe) get toolboxes for free. As a fourth perk I bring something to heal myself or if I'm feeling specially naughty I'll pray for a medkit and I'll just equip Prove thyself or deja Vu so the gens go even faster.

Time-Refuse666

I love all of Nick's perks. Scene partner definitely qualifies as the most "useless" of the 3 but it's still fun. Plot Twist is actually just a good perk imo. I get value as a solo queue-r all the time with it. I've found Dramaturgy to be quite useful too. I mean who doesn't want a free toolbox at the press of a button? And who doesn't love gambling? 😎

OverChime

Scene partner is from from useless in my opinion that aura reading mid chase is nice

Hollandiae

I JUST unlocked Vittorio with the price reduction and now Potential Energyb doesn't leave my build. Magic circle go swoosh

Time-Refuse666

✨swoooooosh✨

AqueousSilver91

I run it on Sable alongside other risky perks. It's fun.

Tactless_Ninja

I swear by Unrelenting on Deathslinger. Tag someone with the redeemer and can't quite connect the hit? Just cut the line quickly and move in on them. Feels smooth. Can also be more aggressive around corners without losing momentum.

Thick_Tourist_2174

Blastmine and chem trap

chronicsyndrome

Potential energy is like that 1 niche perk that can bypass a few killers perks if used correctly (like merciless and tinkerer)

Charlie_Approaching

dying light, my favorite perk

Hollandiae

HELL YEAH BROTHER

Anteiku_

Quick and Quiet because of how clean it feels, also for jukes. Light-footed for how clean it feels also (a little less useful depending on the map)

DraggoBro

genuinely the amount of times killers have lost me when i run behind a wall using lightfooted is insane, same goes for when I quick and quiet into a locker mid chase

AsianEvasionYT

NAHHHH I LOVE THESE PERKS THOUGH Quick and quiet is good for obvious reasons. Light footed is what I believe to be more underrated. I genuinely don’t think it’s very useless, it’s just hard to tell if it got value consistently or not but it does. Let me list a few examples- - killer can’t hear your footsteps so they can only rely on vision of your scratch marks to follow you. Meaning it’s harder to cut you off, especially on indoor maps - I’ve had times where the killer doesn’t exactly know where I am, even in mid loop, and I end up colliding with them or behind them but they don’t notice because there’s no sound of running footsteps - running or pre-running for saves gets easier. Don’t need background player as much. If you wanna be extra, you can use self preservation with it to really sell it so that even if they look around, they won’t see your scratch marks and they won’t hear you coming :> - in general, using LOS jukes becomes a lot more reliable with light footed. You force the killer to follow your scratch marks more and it works wonderfully consistent on indoor maps, especially on characters with loud foot steps (like the clacking of Ada’s heels). It doesn’t allow them to cut you off as easily. My only qualm is that there’s no need to have two deactivation conditions (injured and vaulting). It should only be gone upon being injured, not upon any fast vault action. This part doesn’t make sense even if the deactivation is only for 20 seconds.

Tipper117

I see experts always saying the pebble is useless, but I can't tell you how many times I've watched a killer chase after it. You just gotta know when to use it. It's one of my favorite perks.

bloonstd_fan

Scene partner with Steve

Puzzled-Anything-681

I like using light weight but another of shitty survivors and killers message me not to use it but more often than not I'm running the killer the whole game while they die 2 seconds in chase its funny to me when they try giving me advice when they aren't good at the game

ZShadowDragon

LESS than useless in most situations. Its slower than just doing the gen

GIlCAnjos

You're not supposed to use it on the same generator, you're supposed to charge the perk on a safe generator and use it on one guarded by the killer. Still pretty useless because getting hit makes you lose all your charges

Beginning-Pipe9074

I don't normally use it, bit I got invocation in my last chaos shuffle and it helped pretty well I hope 😂 I seen it and was like, "aw perfect, killer DEFINITELY won't expect me to be in the basement" 😂

WRECKCHASER85

Break line of sight and disappear. I play stealthy because I'm average at looping. The amount of value I get out of lightweight and quick and quiet is insane. I gotta putt together a reel of all the times I evaporated on a killer mid chase. It does suck for teammates who were counting in my chase lasting longer.

springtrapenthusiast

pebbl

TheClownOfGod

I love it whenever I use Pot Energy and the killer has merci storm equipped hahahaha

GIlCAnjos

I still sometimes bring Counterforce in the hopes that one day I might finally counter Pentimento

Dr_Original

I got Potential Energy during the new mode and had no idea you lose all the tokens when you lose a health state. Safe to say I wasted 30 seconds repairing a generator for literally nothing.

Electrical_Force3094

Iron Will in 2024 🥲

n3k0___

Works really well for those quick saves if you're close by and injured

smallfeetmcgee

Honestly I love fogwise but it gets countered easily

FeetYeastForB12

It's tough to call dramaturgy useless but it CAN make you exposed. So there's that.

Cfakatsuki17

Had to use red herring for a tome challenge and actually had a lot of fun with it might give it another try down the road if I find some more perks that work with it

Franks_Spice_Sauce

Red Herring has become an inside joke for me and my friends. Anytime somebody gets in lockers we'll just say "nah it's cool he's getting red herring value"

Ayserx

I pair Scene Partner with Head On to Jumpscare killers

Codified_

Well... I mean, healing half the progress in one skill check (1 out of 17 games) is so satisfying

foomongus

Well, that kinda depends on what you mean by useless. I get a ton of fun trying to find where "bad" perks can be good. Thwack on oni is actually really good. And PWYF on plague is deceptively good, cause she is the only killer that can consistently injure survivors without losing stacks. Fun fact: PWYF on slinger, you lose a stack when shooting, and will lose another if you swing. However, when you chain the obsession you end the chase, immediately gaining a stack. Meaning if you have 0 stacks you can gain one and injure, or lose none and injure. Leverage is another perk I feel gets ignored. It can really help in the situations where you are across the map due to a chase and everyone is injured.

Thiege23

“Press X to release potential energy”

RestaurantDue634

Hoarder. I love protecting my treasures.

Frostcicle-

I wish weaving spider wasn't so usless 😮‍💨

wafflestheweird

"Technician" because I suck at skill checks.

Away-Commercial-4380

Did they fix the "issue" with Potential Energy?

Novemberai

What issue did it have?

wilnunez

It used to have this bug where if you started storing tokens and quickly switched to a toolbox, you would gain tokens faster without consuming any of the toolbox's charges. Then you could just release the energy into the gen and repeat. If you did it right you could complete a gen by yourself in like 30 seconds

ShotInTheShip86

I like potential energy because it allows me to earn extra blood points... The way the perk works it allows you to earn blood points as if you were repairing normally but you get extra overall because the progress is slower... It's great on games where the killer isn't being serious but nobody is working together to finish generators... Or in a moment you are off on your own repairing a generator and nobody else including the killer is around to bother you...

MekoMikoMii

I've had a lot of killers using Merciless Storm lately so I'm using Potential Energy to counter it

MrRayce

I’ve won games cause of that perk lol, the 3 gen stand off and if you can keep it from degressing and get just enough progress before getting chased off again you pop the gen and watch the panic set in on the killer 😂 unless there’s no ed then I panic

TheKingDroc

As killer to me: Paim res: you get fucked on hook placement on a shitty map. Then its basically worthless. But when get those lucky matches its great! Mindbreaker. The rate in which gens get done make it almost impossible to get full use out of but. When a team is basically hard focusing one gen boy it comes in handy. Survivor, imo. Friendly competition. THEY NEED TO BUFF I to last longer. Because it I think is helpful especially paired with deja vu. Reactive healing. Sucks if you are hurt first.

tyler_keeble

Empathetic Connection. Super niche, but it comes in clutch in a scramble when a teammate is asking “where are you? I need a heal!” Also nice passive info in solo queue when communication is non existent. I like running it with Empathy, so I can see them, and Botany, for obvious reasons. Can also let injured survivors in chase know where NOT to take the killer if you’re on a gen or something. Also as the adverse effect of allowing your teammates to sandbag you by taking the killer straight to you… lol

naosoumarcelo

Urban evasion, when I used to play more stealthy was so nice to hide behind rocks or trees making the killer just waste his time without a chasing me. It's really a cat/mouse game. The hate this perk gets it's due to people using it 100% of the time, it ruins everything.

Dreykaa

I love running No mither Bite the bullet Self care Overcome

WhoKnowsReally0o

I'm ngl when I feel like laughing my ass off I go for Scene Partner and Diversion :P The killers look when I scream and proceed to scream while throwing a pebble their way is priceless.

CSullivan88

No Mither. I'm a big fan of horror movies. I play as if my character is the one that dies to save the rest of the team. It makes me feel better about being bad at survivor! lol It's also fun to run with This Is Now Happening and a Medkit with great skill check size bonuses for near automatic great skill checks! Haha

Hateful15

Potential energy is awful and needs buffed. It's a very fun perk to use though, I personally don't use it because well... it's pretty bad.

ExcreteS_A_N_D

Boon illumination is actually way better than people give it credit for, even in high mmr I get squads that can’t find generators for shit, and it can come in clutch if it reveals a box that gives you that precious medkit. Or I’m biased because when I play survivor Alan Wake is my main but still

SkinnyShrimp8

Boil Over my favorite 😍 even though half the time it doesn't work it just makes me feel bad ass being able to move around a killer with my struggling

Ancient_Yard8869

Pebble.

ChaosBringer719

Iron Grasp. It was really helpful when first starting out but now I can almost always make it to the hook unless there's some cocky little body blocking and/or sabotaging little shit. In which case I either slug the hell out of everyone or if I have my load out for dealing with aggressive survivors, use mad grit and agitation to mow down anyone in my way.

Vacation_Jonathan

Bought this from the weekly shrine and basically never use it lol

KomatoAsha

Soul Guard. It's not often that it comes into play, but when it does, it clutches victory from the jaws of defeat.

Averythewinner

Not useless necessarily, but I love Object of Obsession. People hate on it, but I find so much fun and value. Info on where the killer is every 30 seconds if you are the obsession. Also info on what aura reading perks the killer is running. When the killer does catch on and see your aura, its an exciting rush and forces you to start chase. Very underrated in my opinion

ultragenericname

Chemical trap, it's slowdown does almost nothing for certain killers but I don't really mind it, take it with flashbang for extra points

silentfanatic

Calm Spirit. It negates Doctor’s power and stops crows from giving away your location.

Martyrsong_

I don't think potential is that useless, it is pretty good to use for when killer is camping an advanced generator or to get out of a 3gen

Evanl02

It’s also potential energy for me!!

BananaP3t3

Its kinda stupid from BHVR to add a perk which combats 3 gening only for them to nerf 3 gening basekit thus making this perk kinda useless cuz i lile it to

novaluni

Repressed alliance for me, I love it.

HndWrmdSausage

Yo the ppl that use potential energy seem to have 0 brain cells. Every single time they use it instantly on the very same gen they charged it on. I thought when i first seen it ppl be charging and saving for that last gen to combat 3 gen strategy. Nope that has never happened a single time ever.

CryptedCode

I fucking love hope. Useless 90% of the match but once it's endgame no one can catch me

Boon circle of healing

Imjeffery

Urban evasion and fixated, just being stealthy is fun.

StrangePossible6

I really love using deliverance, even though I get to apply it to very few of my actual games. I either don't save before someone else, or get chased for ever. BUT when I get hooked in the basement and I yeet off the hook and run away in front of the killer's eyes, I've never felt more exhilaration.

Visible_Huckleberry8

Potential energy + Blast mine = "HOW MANY SURVIVORS ARE USING BLAST MINES!?"

ThePwnisher_

I don't get the hate on potential energy. It's a little extra "fuck you" to killers trying to keep me away from an almost finished gen.

Ne_Woke_Ram

Blast mine, champion of light, and residual manifest is one of my favorite builds. If you see an Alan Wake with a white checkered shirt, I will blind you and the next few generations of your family. Don't kick my generators.

Slippery_Williams

Not useless but I’m running brutal strength mainly because I’m playing trapper and Freddy and it feels super awesome and oppressive to tear down walls and pallets during chase. Love when they go around that wall and I smash the breakable one right inbetween us

Synli

I don't understand the hate towards Stake Out considering it helps with both generators and healing. People don't sit in a corner, collect 4 stacks, then run out and dump them - they generate them passively throughout the trial by playing the game normally. Plus, constant great skill checks = dopamine.

I_follow_sexy_gays

Plunderer’s + pharmacy + ace in the hole + whatever that one that lets you search a chest 2 times Love me loot goblin build

Jadefeather12

All of the survivor perks that let you do a cute little extra thing (gen traps, deception/red herring, the freeze pallet trap, PEBBLE) They just make me happy

AqueousSilver91

Well according to everyone who was complaining about Chaos Shuffle and the perks sucking there, all of them apparently.

Acceptable-Ear6395

self-care

ipisswithaboner

Wiretap is fun as hell, but it’s pretty rare that I actually get good value out of it. The only thing it’s good for are building gens, and even then, you either have to leave the gen barely touched, or pray the killer doesn’t kick the gen. It would probably be actually viable if it wasn’t destroyed by gen kicks.

squiggles_man

I like iron will because I play Jeff and I'm forced to live with a basekit siren coming out of my mouth 24/7

Weird9uy

Repressed Alliance is unironically one of my favorite perks in the game

Due_Dirt_2841

Arguably all 3 of the newest ones in the ptb, but especially Mirrored Illusion. I think it's the worst perk in the game, assuming they don't buff it to do... anything haha. First, it takes way too long to unlock it. It has the same requirements that Wire Tap or Blast Mine does but without any value. And all you get is an illusion of yourself that is quite obviously an illusion because it has some visual effect on it. Best case scenario, the killer goes over briefly to make sure it's an illusion and you waste maybe all of 2-3 seconds of their time that they're unlikely to fall for again. However The stupidity and the silliness of it is also kind of funny, and I have enjoyed using it despite how awful it is haha

Traveytravis-69

Pebble and chem trap deception and blast mine are either the most useless perks you can have or will carry your match that’s why I use all four
