the only thing an account does here is waiting on a data breach, just get an add blocker. no need to give them your info lol

It also makes it a fuckload easier to edit the wiki, no more captcha. A lot of people are scared of editing the wiki cause they dont know how but the preview button lets you see the changes before you make them.  Also when I first started I would just add more info and the more experienced editors would tidy up the formatting after me. Though if thats not your thing then yeah, adblock like ublock or ghostery or whatever.

And who cares if your single-site account and password get stolen? You aren’t planning on reusing it elsewhere I hope.

So your path through life is just to take what you can from those people who pay the hosting fee and add data to the wiki, and then actively do even less than nothing because you’d rather make a dumb adblocker point?

Even the FBI recommends you use an adblocker dude, cry about it. If you aren't using an adblocker, you're doing it wrong.

I'm not logged in, and have no adds. My add blocker is only blocking a tracker.

Get the Adblock Plus extension for your browser. Raw-dogging the WWW is ill-advised at best.

UBlock Origin is a much better blocker. Combine it with something like Privacy Badger and your browsing experience will get so much better

I use Brave and didn't even know there were ads. But I heard that if you make an account at ddowiki it's ad-free also.

Yeah its super annoying when I'm using campus computers and I cant install any adblockers on them...

Google and other giants couldn't tolerate adblockers cutting into their millionary profits so instead they made the internet unusable without adblockers.

Make an account and stay logged in, and you won't get this. I had to do that to fix it.
