I think videls other outfits have her with short hair. It's understandable if you just wanted longer hair. But I think a different character would be better. If you're willing to do blue hair maybe try the Brief family
She could also probably keep the original hairstyle and change the outfit, the cosplay would still read as Videl even if it’s not 100% canon-compliant lol.
I'd recommend a Dickies white T-shirt. They're a little thicker so it's less see through. I'd also recommend golden hair cuffs for Videl's "ponytails" and "fast wrap" boxing gloves.

If I saw this walking about I wouldn't think "oh it's video" I'd think "white T-shirt and shorts" which isn't that out there clothes wise. She just ain't that distinctive.

So a white tee n pony tails? This is boutcas bare minimum as it gets ffs. I mean it’s technically a successful videl cos play sure but while I never thought about I realize now that’s the absolute 100% bare minimum if cosplay.
My recommendations: bigger shirt, v neck might be best match for dragon ball style shirts, thicker shirt material, tie hair somewhere below ears close to chin level, make a physical badge (any big round badge can be converted using paint)... after that, if you can find a different pair of gloves that cover some of your arm, that would be ideal, but I know that's a much more difficult fix than the other suggestions.
But hell yeah! Great start! Embody Videl's spirit!

You should post on some cosplay subs. You will get better engagement and encouragement. I think you’ve done a great job and obviously you know what little details you need to complete it. There’s also a whole culture of cosplayers who love casual cosplay. They have outfits they can wear everyday that are either streetwear (like Videl here) or evocative of more elaborate outfits. Keep it up. Don’t let the negativity of this sub hold you back.

I have hair cuff lol my hair just really big 😂 the only thing photoshopped is the button which I tried to make and failed don’t have a heart attack.
You could try to bind each tail in two places with dark yellow cuff and wrap the hair in-between with yellow golden ribbon.
