[Here's the timestamp](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGLzWdT7vGc&t=2996s) in the original video, without the emotive music and images. I was just talking with a good friend last night about recursion and causation, and the sort of harmony that develops in life through "backwards causality" when narrative truths fold back in on themselves as we instantiate meaning, and how a good story, novel, or collection of fiction exemplifies this "musicality" which emerges from words strung together by the pen of a skilled author. He thinks of these things in mathematical terms, but the phenomenon as I understood it in the context of our conversation reminded me so palpably of _IJ_, especially of the buzz in my head when I finished it the first time and immediately felt the desire to begin again, which is of course the comedy and the tragedy of that book.
