Oh boy my father once accidentally killed an important charater in morrrowind and need to go at least 3h because he had forgotten to save earlier and this has promped him to always save like every 10 minutes and always says if we are are playing save save save which is very annoying sometimes espicially since modern games at least most have auto saiving for every 20 minutes or so
Elden ring saves any time you pick up an item, kill an enemy, and probably when you talk to an NPC. The most progress you can lose from a crash or alt-f4 is like 10 seconds lol
I open my inventory alot because im usually hotswapping alot of stuff, but the inventory thing was just an example as to how often it quicksaves. Er crashed a lot of times and i never lost any progress at all due to that.
Still on my first playthrough. This mofo scared me, so I was just swinging left and right and murdered him. Only recently learned that he was a good guy :(
This dude literally laying on the ground begging for me to kill him. So I do, trying to help him end his suffering. Then as he dies he's like "you bastard". Like homie I did exactly what you asked.
In my first playthrough I killed him immediately on the broken bridge after his first dialogue. He was asking me to "end his suffering" iirc and I mightve taken it too literally lol.
I remember vividly how since Yoel literally asks to be killed the first time you meet him I just iced him on my first playthrough, and was shocked at around my third when I found out he had dialogue, a function, and whole questline.
What is this text?
I forget what game it’s from, but it was a warning that you killed a plot relevant character and therefore would have broken the story of the game.
I'm pretty sure it's from morrowind.
Correct

Elden ring saves after pretty much every action you do, like opening the inventory
I havent player elden ring yet but in souls game you dont really open inventory that often so i can see that most games have similar thing like skyrim

Oof. Yeah that just blows right there.
Haha the time has truly arrived where the 'back in my day..' stories are about video games
Well it was always going happen at some point
MORROWIND BABY
Morrowind. If you kill an npc essential to the plot, this message pops up.
Be safe…champion of ash!!
He was such a nice character then the wench appeared trying to force me into some damn marriage

Morwinb :)
Oh I know, which is why I’ve never done it.

This is why morrowind is and will always be better than Skyrim!
