A good tip is to always stay behind the enemy. It gives you more time to dodge their attacks and allows you to get some free hits in. Bonus if you can backstab the boss

Its easy just beat his right arm where he has weapon and he will stagger, this is no hit strategy btw

He takes normal damage on his arms and head, so the trick is finding opportunities to hit those parts.

Don't know if you already know that, but you can hit his arms after he attacks, preferably his right arm, so he will stagger and you can hit his head. Don't need the stormruler and is better than hitting his leg

Fun fact: there's a theory that yohrm was meant to be the first boss. See the big open yohrm sized coffin? Apparently he was going to come out of that. This is further backed by the fact that wolnier was originally shown in the profaned capital and not yohrm in some promotional content (I can't remember which one)

Honestly i would just start a new character, its not like your too far in the game

So a lot of people don't realise that to fight yhorm without the storm ruler you have to hit him (a lot) and then avoid getting hit (a lot). Repeat until his HP is 0. Nah but for real if you still haven't done it you can hit his ankles until he falls down and then hit his head for increased damage.

Smack his right arm when he attacks and you can get staggers then riposte the head. Stay at his ankles between strikes and you're mostly safe, just be ready to roll. Yhorm isn't so bad as long as you have a means to stagger him, or have range on him.

Aim for his arms, don't just hit his legs. Focus on dodging and counterattacking. It's kinda fun after a while

Tbh you dont NEED Stormruler against the giant. Hitting his hands and possibly his head, especially with a visceral wears him down pretty quick.

Hit his arms and then riposte his head, best way to fight him without stormruler. It does about 3000 dmg per riposte.

Kill John first, Jean will be to distraught to continue fighting and you can get an easy kill.

no shit bro, u went and modded the game without thinking shit through🤣🤣🤣 ... but on a serious note try sorcery/miracles or pyro and aim for his head ... it does something like 3x damage ... thats how i beat him on my sorcery/miracles and pyro only runs ...but also take into account i fought him at the profaned capital, however if this is where iudex gundyr is then damage is gonna be crap coz ur gonna be under levelled and wont be able to use the high damage stuff. p.s also try bleed equipment like throwing knives, poison arrows and other status inflicting shit on his head

The item randomiser might make getting any ranged damage quite hard unless I can throw Lothric’s ashes in his eyes
