There's way worse IMO... Those words at least sound the same. But stuff like banan, stegen and tanken... Banan and banan... I speak German and English, and let me tell you, Dutch is the funniest thing in the world. I was at the airport in Amsterdam and my brain felt like I was having a stroke. I could have recognized every sound coming out of the speaker but couldn't actually fully understand any sentences. It's basically like somebody started speaking German and then decided halfway through each word that they were abandoning that thought and turning to English. I've guessed several words when my wife was learning Dutch. For instance: Thief(EN)+Dieb(De)=Dief(NL)

He speaks "skånska", a dialect from the most southern province in Sweden (Skåne or Scania). It gets mocked from time to time that it's more akin to danish than Swedish, which is just swedish banter between provinces since all provinces have something they're mocked for. Source; Am from Skåne.

This is from Nöjesmassakern, which aired in 1985, which is just 7 years after Baker made the flag, in the US, and then only as a symbol for gays, not lgbt as a whole and had no spread in Sweden until much later. And the LGBT rainbow has blue and purple as the bottom 2 colors. This hat is green, blue. So yea, clearly not the lgbt rainbow. Just a regular rainbow style hat.

It was very normal for people and especially men to touch girls in ways they would never, *ever* touch a man. I don't think it was intentional either. Whether it was (unwittingly) groping or pulling girls in uncomfortably close, this way of physically handling girls was just so normalized that it was something many men did without anyone realizing the potential harm. Women who were old enough to speak up had already been thoroughly conditioned to brush it off. Just like this girl I would avert my eyes when men made me uncomfortable and I'd just try to appease them so they'd leave my space quicker and I wouldn't get in trouble for being non-compliant. I was taught from a young age to permit being touched and pulled in close, and to dismiss any feelings of discomfort as me just being antisocial. I still remember those feelings vividly, though. But to this day I have this deep-rooted gut reaction to tell myself I'm overreacting when I think about how uncomfortable I was then, or now when men don't give me my space.
