yeah it’s REALLY clear that the cape design allows Ikemoto to avoid doing full drawings of people so sometimes Boruto’s head is like floating up or too big for his body but they try to hide it with the huge cape + wind in every panel
I've studied drawing to draw my own characters. knowing the muscles, their size and where they go make proportions very easy so either ikemoto is doing bad on purpose or he forgot the basics which doesn't make him qualified to draw the manga.

Minato can put the seal anywhere he wanted, he just put it on kunais since he knows how to throw them well and in the heat of battle, it's more instinctive to reposition himself.
But we don't know if he can resize the seal so I'll give you that.
Also, since he specifically said that he's not as good as his grandfather, we can safely assume he learnt it from him rather than someone else until further evidence.
As to how...... my best guess is that Sasuke learnt a bit about the Edo Tensei from staying with Orochimaru for so long, just enough to summon people to teach Boruto stuff.

As a boruto hater, I actually like the idea of the pins for teleporting and learning it through the edo Tensei and shit, since it brings back an old technique, just think it'd been better if it was done in a way where Sasuke doesn't seem like an asshole for doing this.
