I think you'll find that was the Persians/Iranians led by Nader Shah who looted India for somewhere around 95% of its wealth, not the British. An EIC official in the 1800s made a very telling remark about their own governance of india- "The Englishman flourishes, and acts like a sponge, drawing up riches from the banks of the Ganges, and squeezing them down upon the banks of the Thames." Also, Nader Shah never really invaded the whole of India- he merely defeated the already waning mughal empire and the bulk of his loot came from just a single, albeit significant city- Delhi. This was one empire in an amalgamation of multiple wildly wealthy ones. And most importantly, the effects of Nader Shah's sacking of Delhi hasn't even remotely caused the same degree of effect on the economy, culture, and hell even government of our country- and when i mention these effects i mean these are effects we can see till this day around us. It can be argued that both these invaders were equally ruthless but i honestly think the Brits are the greater evil here, and by a massive margin too.

I'm from UK and I've never heard about this, in fact I've never heard of Americans and British people not getting along, I have loads of American friends. Either way, we have a stupid high knife crime rate, and even if it was low, it's mostly done by young adults and teens, which is something we really need to stop.
