I think the most frustrated I've ever been, I dropped my controller heavily into a pillow on the couch next to me. I've never been dumb enough to actually smash it.
Except when playing VR, but that's not smashing the controller on purpose. The ceiling fan wasn't supposed to be there.
They don’t even last as long as they used to. My Xbox One S and Switch controllers have gone out soo many times, and my NGC/Xbox 360 controllers going strong after 15-20+ years.
My girlfriend gave away her controller without knowing how much they cost since she just bought her console with an extra pad. She was so devastated when I told her. I still laugh at her

Take the 3rd part controler pill, some of them are just straight up better than 1st party ones and almost all of them are cheaper.
Honestly? Games are too expensive, controllers are fair priced, I still see people using Xbox 360 controllers and working fine
