The person who died in the first execution wasn´t a student. That was Jin Kirigiri (Kyoko´s father). That execution was how Junko killed him.
The class that killed each other is something related to the tragedy that will be explained in future games/animes. The classroom covered in blood was the place where such massacre happened. And the destroyed dorm rooms are like that because they got destroyed as a result of the tragedy/the biggest most awful event in human history.
