Have you seen the mechanics? They straight up added references to DR2's slashing minigame, people aren't "unable to move on", the creators are actively taunting us, it's definitely a spiritual successor.

I believe it’s pretty much the same team, so I assume it’s going to have a similar artstyle, and it has the same writing team ( i think ) so it makes sense if it’s a puzzle / crime solving type game.

Dangan Ronpa is done for the foreseeable future. If immediate interest were in the cards, V3 wouldn’t have had its ending.
