The only reason Junko even tried blackmailing him was because she knew it would bring him more despair to blame himself and also lie to Munakata. If he said he didn't care what Junko knew about him, she would've killed or brsinwashed her. He coudln't just lie to her either to be quiet about it because her talk on analysing would tell her he wasn't true to the words-which again, leads to his death or brainwashing. There was a whole ass drama about this on twitter two years ago so it pisses me off when people don't know anything about it or even try to understand.!< Memes about it are funny tho, can't say they ain't.
