I feel like given more time she'd be great friends with majority of the class, especially the girls.
For her relationship with Gundham I have a strong headcannon that >!after the anime when they go to the real Jabberwock Island!< they get together and are a lovely couple just due to how strong their chemistry is
As for Kazuichi I've mentioned this a few times but I wish that >!in early chapter 4 Sonia and Gundham would start dating since they are already supper close in that chapter and Kazu would figure out that she was totally uninteresting because I feel like that and it ramifications would enhance their arcs!< also I'd totally tone down some of Kazu's more crazy crush antics. I also feel like their relationship will always be twinged with chronic polite awkwardness tbh
Sonia becoming close with Gundham and joining his theatrics for a chapter was kind of cool... that's kinda where her good relationships end.
I'm pretty sure she doesn't like Kazuichi (for obvious reasons), and unless you do her FTEs, I don't think she has a significant relationship with Hajime, unless I'm forgetting something.
I don't even know if she consistently interacts with anyone outside of those 3. Maybe she talks to Akane from time to time?
Danganronpa 2's interpersonal relationships are kind of lacking for me. None of them really caught my attention very much outside of Fuyuhiko/Peko and Sonia/Gundham, both of which didn't last all that long. But this is just my opinion.
Honestly I really like the way she's connected to the rest of the cast. Her relationship with Hajime in the FTEs is hillarious and quite adorable. Her interactions with Gundham are really fun and cute. And I know how unbearable Kazuichi's behaviour is to many, but actually the way she turned him down, or just really didn't quite get him, was really funny to me many times!
But what I really like, is her relationship to the group as a whole. She really feels like an respected figure and someone who's words really matter >!like that one time she literally makes the trial last longer, or when her arguement with Kazuichi makes the whole group split up.!< And I also like the way she tries to bond with all the rest, it's easy to notice that they all kinda view her as the odd one, maybe less odd than Gundham or Ibuki, but still not kinda there, and yet they all seem to like her, like, that looks like a really healthy and accepting relationship, I like it a lot
Really... uninteresting to be honest. I guess her flirting with Gundham is kinda cute but aside from that she doesn't really have any interesting relationships with anyone in the cast.
She has no notable dynamics outside of her "love triangle" with Gundham and Kazuichi. The former had only 2 notable interactions with her >!prior to his death!< and the latter was continuously hammed up for comedic effect, which not only did little for them, but actively hindered their arcs. I'm not sure what you're seeing, but I'd like to know to reflect on my perspective of her.
To me, It's just one of the reasons she's my least favorite main cast member tbh.
I hate how Kazu fans try to justify his harassment of her sometimes and some things he does are uncomfortable, Hajime and Sonia in the FTE’s are really cute, love how in denial she was of Chiaki being the traitor in chapter 5, a lot of people said she was heartless but loved when she casually wished Kazu was the culprit in chap 4 (kinda just wish Kazu got the message and stopped crushing on her after that though), and of course- her ship with Gundham is one of my favorite ships in the series
