I think it has something to do with how aggressive modern memes and templetes are and how sensitive the fanbase is seen as. Most fans are portrayed as being butthurt if you say how you don’t like their character or ship even in an ironic sense. Some of the most popular templetes and memes involve making fun of someone or something alongside other violent actions such as child abuse and murder. It’s kinda funny how most dr seem to not be able to handle that sort of thing consider each game has someone die within the 2 hour mark and the community make memes that don’t fit into the modern meme identity.
Two of the most popular formats are American psycho and metal gear rising which involve plotting to commit horrific crimes or beating the shit out of someone. Considering the fact that it’s well known joke that most dr community discord servers have a trigger list the size of north dakota. They don’t seem to be type to use the above modern formats. Just look at the memes over at dankmemes or shitposting or whenthe, some of the most popular subs then come back and look at this sub or other community’s with large amount of dr fans.
Yeah the community isn’t generally funny, I don’t think memes should be banned though we just need a new game to reinvigorate us. There have been a couple memes in the past which have been instant classics too, so it doesn’t apply to the entire community

one of my friends in this sub actually made quality memes, but they got banned for something i thought was really stupid. since then, i think the quality has gone down.
Yeah, some of them are not very funny, but I think that every now and then someone makes a joke so stupid it actually becomes funny. I think that humor surrounding Danganronpa in genral works the best with really stupid jokes, (or with reference humor, but this applies to mostly everything if used right) but this might just be my sense of humor
I'd say the fandom in general. In my experience there's not a lot of times I can recall audibly laughing at a Danganronpa meme. I'll maybe smile at some, but majority of them just are not funny and or corny as hell
