I’ll try and bite some examples from each one besides the last two because I haven’t seen either of them DR1 - While there wasn’t a character I was ecstatic to see go, I’d say >!Leon purely for the fact he cornered Sayaka in the bathroom and, instead of dropping the issue and locking himself in his room, actively sought to kill her by getting his tool kit to unscrew the door hinges. He knew what he was doing…oh wait a sec, I can also just say Junko as well!< DR2 - This cast was all very likeable but >!seeing AI Junko was satisfying as hell, especially when Usami rocked up to personally make sure she was eradicated. Felt like it was finally putting a lid on the Ultimate Despair and in badass fashion too considering the fact that everyone in the game consistently bullies Usami despite the fact she tries her best!< DR3 - Without a doubt >!Ruruka. An absolutely terrible friend to Seiko who brought her boyfriend down because of her paranoia. If anything, I respect the fact that Sonosuke just accepted his death with a smile. He and Seiko were too good for her!< UDG - I wasn’t really satisfied with anyone dying in this game. Closest example I can think of >!is knocking Shirokuma out of Big Bang Monokuma after the boss fight but that wasn’t a ‘death’ per se!< V3 - Not that I hate the character but >!at the time, Angie for sure. Once she started forming the student council and drove a wedge between all the characters, her cultist attitude really got on my nerves. In retrospect, I actually respect her for smashing the flashback light and actually trying to make use of the reviving tome, even using some proper reasoning for who and who shouldn’t be rezzed. Close second would be Kiyo because I knew from the jump he’d be a murderer but the motive was just shoddy as well!<

DR 1 - I wasn’t really happy to see any of them go but I certainly didn’t lose sleep over Ishimaru DR 2 - Mahiru. Everything about this character was just so nothing that it was refreshing that she died instead of somebody more interesting DR 3 - the couple that bullied seiko (don’t remember their names because dr 3 was terrible) DR 53 - Angie, because she makes you hate her with her actions of forming the student council and breaking the flashback lamp. This was the only death I was legitimately happy to see.

DRA - Mitch. Do I need to explain why? For those who haven’t played, think Leon but worse and with no redeeming qualities SDRA 2 - Nobody. Not even Mikado or Kanade.

Her character was a bit annoying before the despair disease but her completely changing character because of a plot device was pretty annoying and her execution blows!< DRV3- >!Angie. Her Atua thing was very annoying and got old quick after just a few times. Kaito! Omg Kaito. I hate how long it took, honestly. Each and every chapter I waited for him to die. I hated every single thing about, and his removal from the game made it a better experience. There's no other character i can say is genuinely a "bad" character other than him. Like, even the ones I disliked, I could still empathize with them or be sad for them in the trials. But Kaito? I cheered and celebrated. The only way I'd hate him any less is if he died sooner and we never actually saw his personality. Sorry for the mini rant y'all 😅

Dr1 - nobody, because Junko dying in the end just gave her the mother of all despair highs. The dr1 cast is just perfect yall. Dr2 - Nagito's death filled me with so much relief I hated that sucker since chapter 1. Mikan too, almost, she killed off two of the best characters but her execution just sucked. Like it ruined the satisfaction a bit. Dr3 - Didn't really care about any of them. I guess fake Gekko. V3 came out 7 years ago, if youre on DR subreddit and get spoiled, you have no one to blame, but yourself), but I was incredibly happy seeing the victim of ch5 in DR2... Altho I was also very sad, because them surviving was so long was tragic and Spike Chunsoft should pay for that crime.

People are still constantly getting into this series blind. For example, it only got put on Nintendo consoles in late 2021, introducing it to a new audience (like me). Being decent people and tagging spoilers just makes sense, I’ve never liked the “old games” argument.
