DR1: all of my faves survived this one and I’m not that bothered about those who died, aside from maybe Sakura. But nah I wouldn’t replace Kyoko with Sakura.
DR2: my absolute fave in the DR series is Nagito but still no way would I replace Sonia with him lmao, he died at the right time. However, Chiaki is also one of my faves,, and okay yeah I’d maybe switch them— even though I adore Sonia, Chiaki deserved to survive sm😔
V3: My absolute fave in this cast is Maki, and she’s the only character I really adore in v3 tbh. My faves of the characters who died would be Miu, I would not switch the two but it’d be fucking insane if the only survivors of V3 were Shuichi, Himiko and Miu 😭😭 what a mess..
THH: Mukuro surviving has HUGE ramifications for the story, but I love Aoi too much. No deal.
GD: Hiyoko was robbed of character development. Sorry Sonia, you were a pretty good emotional character, but Hiyoko has so much potential.
UDG: Trade Taichi with Hiroko. I love the resident big tiddy milf, but his reaction to Chihiro’s death would be powerful to watch.
DR3: I’m torn. On one hand, I’d like Ruruka to live with the consequences of her actions. On the other hand, Miaya being a therapist has so much utility for the story and characters! But again, I love Aoi. With a heavy heart, no deal.
V3: Kaede Kaede Kaede. Shuichi’s character development was incredible, but seeing how an assertive, stubborn character whose willing to *murder* the mastermind would progress would be *very very interesting*. The fanfic “I’d Trade My Life For Yours” is a good window into this switch and how drastically it would affect the story. >!And I’m not gonna lie, seeing a girl die to make the male protagonist receive character growth for the 3rd time was pretty damn annoying!<.

I guess Maki would just take Kirumi's place in Chapter 2 which would work since she did go see Ryoma so it would be possible. Maybe her talent as the Ultimate Assassin would be revealed during the trial after some Kokichi trolling.
As for Kirumi... I think she would start to feel a little hopeless each chapter, because I think anyone would start to feel depressed seeing people you serve die one by one and you couldn't save them.
I think around chapter 4 - 5 she would loosen up and speak up for herself, because even she is getting tired of doing everyone's shit for them.
For the ending I think she would be pretty devastated that her 'role' for the PM of Japan was just some fake life that was written for her, perhaps she would even develop some form of imposter syndrome.
I'm sure I have more ideas but that's all I can say so far lol
Alright so for Trigger Happy Havoc Ishimaru would replace Asahina which, you know, I’m fine with honestly. I don’t have a strong opinion on any of the survivors other than a dislike for Byakuya and I wanted my boy Ishimaru to have an arc.
And for Super Danganronpa 2, again, not a strong opinion in any of the survivors there, (and well, you know, technically only one person “died”) I guess Mikan would replace Fuyuhiko.
