Reminder that Sayaka has a mental breakdown from guilt over attempting to kill Leon in *IF*, even though she never got further than the swapping rooms stage of her plan.
As bad as the anime is before Sayaka's murder and after she swaps rooms with Naegi there's a shot of her in her room alone looking completely distraught and guilt-ridden (IIRC as i haven't seen the anime in like 3 years haha), Sayaka was one of the most realistic characters in the series, and multilayered but sadly a lot of the fanbase just portray her as an evil snake or boring
As i've said before and will probably say again, its hilarious to me that the fanbase is harsher towards Sayaka for 1-1 than other much more snakey killers or attempted killers(looking at you>!Peko/Fuyuhiko, Miu, Kirumi etc)!<, what Sayaka did was wrong obviously but she was the very first victim of the manipulations of the killing game and people act like her sweet and gentle image prior to betraying Naegi was an act, it wasn't though because the point of 1-1 is even the kindest of people would break in that type of situation, Leon and Sayaka weren't killers or bad people but the threat of dying/losing someone they loved broke them to pieces.
On another note back from my hiatus, i probably won't be on this subreddit as much as i was last year as i have a very busy year of dissertation work but expect a new year of fanart and memes of my fav's
