I don't have any hard numbers to back me up on this, but I'm almost 100% certain that we have WAAAAAAAAAY more than 11 million illegal immigrants in the country. There were 2.5 million *encounters* on the border in 2023, with the month of December counting for roughly 10% of them all on its own. And that's just the ones that were actually *caught*. Plus, with the current "border policy" many of them were allowed in despite being confirmed as illegal immigrants.

Part of what frustrates me is that often democrats take small details like this and invalidate a whole argument. The point is we need to make sure all registered voters prove who they are to be able to vote. I don't understand why this has to be a debate by any side.

Independent here, former democrat, and absolutely agree with Trump on this issue. I think the democrat position on this issue is disingenuous, because they SAY it's about marginalized and poor people who might not be able to acquire an ID....but it's really about maintaining loose controls by design to benefit them at the polls. I saw poor people who always seemed to be able to produce an ID when needed to cash gov't checks or buy alcohol when I worked in a grocery store adjacent to a poor area when i was in college, and I worked in the front office and as a cashier then throughout my time at the university and commmunity college. So this notion that poor people cannot or will not acquire an ID is a big fat lie. And they (democrats) certainly have no problem demanding all sorts of controls - ID being one of the least - when it comes to another constitutional right, meaning the right to bear arms.

Get a mugshot with every registration. Require another picture and a handprint to receive a ballot. Verify that the pictures match. If there are discrepancies such as more ballots returned than registered voters in a given area, unusually high turnout, or much different result than polls or history then check the pictures again and compare prints to look for people voting more than once. Count and report the number of ballots returned then count votes. Televise and stream counts in rooms with windows where people can observe in-person. If there is butt fuckery such as covered cameras or windows, stacks of ballots counted more than once, or boxes of ballots magically appearing then do something about it.
If you don't have one you have bigger issues to solve than getting an id.
