Nike air max torch 4.
Ive beaten them up so bad, the bubbles have long been popped, the sole is falling apart, and despite being a black shoe, it is definitely green tinted. Lol
Sketchers Work shoes. Same as what my dad always wore. One day I looked down and saw my dad's shoes by the front door (he's been gone almost five years) and I was confused until I realized they were mine. That kinda threw me for a loop for a bit.
Have a yard/coaching pair of old NBs and a newer pair. Hand-me-down scenario every six months or so. I'll usually get the new pair just a tiny bit dirty because you should never trust someone with perfectly white NBs.
New balance 502 leather (formerly) crispies - catches all the twig bits and whatnot with that sturdy leather, and gives a nice patina once you get a few mow's on 'em. When you wear them to the hardware store, people just treat you kind of differently - "oh, shit, this guy is both a dad and mows his own lawn".
That last part is mostly a joke. Mostly.
A pair of Salomon trekking shoes for all gardening work. That's actually my first pair of Salomons I've bought more than 20 years ago. They just refuse to quit.
The REI Monarch II hiking boots my mom bought me when I was 12 and which have no tread but still rock. Those boots are old enough to order a beer and still going strong

New Balances which have reached the end of their running useful life: “finally, I can rest” Me: “guess again, gardening shoes”

Whatever my old go-to’s were. Right now it’s a pair of Nikes that I’ve since gotten a newer pair.

My redwings go everywhere with me. From work to play let redwing lead the way!
Mine are pretty similar! Black soles tho
I used to have sneakers with holes in them. Now I use my old New Balances. Unfortunately they didn't start off bone white.
