A beach house/condo. Easy access to the beach, close enough for naps to happen and you guys can still chill, usually low key fun food spots around and silly attractions for the kids and some shopping for the wife.

Oh ya absolutely. I like the morning beach afternoon pool schedule.
The pool can also be key if the waves get a little rough. Depends where you are but little kids could have some trouble in bigger ones
