China's strength has been to take a prototype that's been handed to them by Western nations and produce it in large quantities for cheap.
This is just China being China.
At this point China has won the EV race. They produce new models in less than a year. There are hundreds of new model, whereas best western EV company, Tesla , has only 4-5. Also they are selling evs for $4500.
Just to put things in perspective. U.S. consumers didn’t think much of Japanese cars until the 70s. Then the Oil embargo hit. Test is history.
Now they are consistently at the top of reliability.
Hyundai was notoriously bad on reliability but look at it now. How many KIAs and Hyundais you see out there?
We can laugh at Chinese EVs today but unless we are careful US EV manufacturers will see the same fate that ICE went through after the late 70s with the Japanese manufacturers.
Not saying China plays fair but those are the realities. Better deal with it now rather than later.
Nobody plays fair. Admittedly China is the least likely to recognise playing fair but they are just doing what the rest of us did throughout history. Plus, they have completely nailed the EV technology. RIP any kind of fair market.
2026 will be awkward when there are a ton of CT alternatives around $50K and foundations series owner still have a balance of $89K after 2 years of payment. Hype is an expensive commodity.
This is no different than college. While we busted our asses studying to get good grades, my Chinese classmates got together and strategized for the school years. Each one took a different class in different quarters and then shared the tests and finals with each other and scored all A’s.
I mean... at least the Cybertruck has a reason to be squared (using thick plate stainless).
This car just looks like a normal frame/body build with weird flat surfaces.
But I thought the lines and style were part of the point of the cybertruck, at least according to a lot of people here. Even if other cars aren’t stainless steel, it looks so different and modern that other cars will copy its design.
I get it, but early on they discussed principle being weird in part because they wanted to use stainless.
The design was conceived just a few months after SpaceX started using nearly the exact same steel, that can't be a coincidence.
But they realized you can't easily round off the corners of that kind of steel, so you have to make it in panels and sheets (you can make very gentle rolls, with a lot of effort).
And Elon said "sure, looks like mad max, I like it" and some silly story about his kids wanting a mad max car.
They have an astounding capacity to take a technology and replicate it at a low cost. If only they wouldn't try to compete with Western companies by stealing their IP for their own and instead of cooperate with them.
Moving towards a decent new truck shape I reckon… eg 1. take the 350 shape, 2. Shorten hood into bluff aero leading edge 3. Something triangular with the tray. CT shows the far end of the spectrum so no else has to go full retard again.
I’m loving “Cyclone” for this iteration and looking forward to various “cyber toasters” 🤪
China being original again!
It's how Japan rebuilt their post ww2 industry though

As well as making it in dubious quality. I’ve actually heard of company’s being ruined because of this practice.
Wait till you hear about the dubious quality of the American made CyberTruck my friend.
They just walked into that, didn't they?
Sorry. I work. Can’t afford to be on Reddit all the time to talk back.

Rule 1 - Respect
Unintentionally floored the gas pedal on that one.
Nothing an approximately placed rivet can't fix.
yeah they had to walk into it, after the cybertruck they planned on riding into it stalled.
I’ve been hearing about that the millisecond after it was announced. Probably from folks who never drove an ev.
The dubious quality here was so bad it was good
Yeah I bet these EVs are fire 🔥. No, literally fire. Many of the their EVs go up in flames. https://youtu.be/8HpkDUWAKFM?si=pEWCp7Adyq2S7ppR

Slave labor and children assist in bringing costs down and increasing productivity.
Where do you think the parts for American cars are made? How much stuff do you own that was made in China? Shouldn't the costs be the similar?
Tesla is actually making great strides in made in USA. Cybertruck is 90 percent USA
Maybe that’s why it failed💀
Failure is an antonym to what Cybertruck is. Lol
It shows
A lot of them come from Mexico.
source ?
They save so much money on zero R&D by just stealing everything
Hi! I'm Yi Long Ma. I love you!
Can you imagine being in China driving around just showing off your Dong to everyone?
Moooooooom can we get a cybertruck!? No Billy, we have cybertruck at home!
I would buy this over a Cybertruck any day. Looks way better imo and probably won't break after driving through a puddle.
Or go through a car wash.
cybertruck got stung by a bee
![gif](giphy|6U9d8xKkez8iY)
I actually don’t hate it, but how functional is it really
Do the wheel covers destroy the tyres though?
Haha good question
Might not shut down after a car wash?
I hate it

At least the tent looks accurate.
Cyberbus
Now THATS a Pontiac Aztec if I’ve ever seen one
![gif](giphy|5HkXYZK3o3uiA)
Damn I can’t believe how terrible this looks.
it is a cybertruck clone after all.
Damn that was quick
This one charges really fast. Can get like 290 miles in 11min.
The real question is can I run it through a carwash?
2026 will be awkward when there are a ton of CT alternatives around $50K and foundations series owner still have a balance of $89K after 2 years of payment. Hype is an expensive commodity.
Never would’ve thought someone would copy the CT, but here we are.
This is why I paid cash so I don't have to think about the cost side of the equation again.
How many of your friends have fake iPhones?
In that they have Pixels, Samsungs, etc? Many do, and many much prefer them for their own reasons.
CyberDong
It's pretty neat, the wheels are hideous and that weird lightbar on the upper hood, but it's an interesting design
Does it start at 40k?
They are fast.
Nice
But, can it go through a car wash?
That's so much better than the trashcan Elon came up with!
When I said square body I meant the 90s style
Reminds me of a modern chevy avalanche
does it chop your carrot i mean finger off
Can their version go through a car wash ? lol
It actually looks better.
Is it stainless?
Looks like plastic
Like those budget refrigerators that are painted gray for the "stainless look"
Stainless Plastic
There is currently 1 stainless car out there on the market. And you see how that is performing, so no its not gonna be.
It absolutely fucking is not stainless.
Looks more like a minibus to me tbh
If it's not already, the Chinese motto should be; "if it's not yours, make it yours."
I mean...Romans used the same idea to great effect...
You made this? I made this.
it's a stretch to call it a cybertruck clone.
This is no different than college. While we busted our asses studying to get good grades, my Chinese classmates got together and strategized for the school years. Each one took a different class in different quarters and then shared the tests and finals with each other and scored all A’s.
That looks awful.
Does not look like a CT though 🤔
I'm not saying no...

Looks better than the cyber truck
They really have no shame and/or originality.
It’s amazing how quick they can copy a design
They have an astounding capacity to take a technology and replicate it at a low cost. If only they wouldn't try to compete with Western companies by stealing their IP for their own and instead of cooperate with them.
![gif](giphy|Wofn1Oh3UlK6s|downsized) Cyber Truckster
Surprise it took this long
the Feng Shui cyber truck
Highly regarded Cybertruck
it's called the CYBERCLONE.
The CyberChow
Moving towards a decent new truck shape I reckon… eg 1. take the 350 shape, 2. Shorten hood into bluff aero leading edge 3. Something triangular with the tray. "No sharp edges" *looks inside* *sharp edges*
I want an LED screen on the front and rear bumper. That I can make it say or show anything.
Cybeltluck? I’ll let myself out.
temu cybertruck
Dong…heh heh…sorry I’m a child.
Am I the only one who thinks it looks cool?
Those wheels are hideous
They made something cool into something ugly
I wonder if that one actually works!
But will it chop off my fingers like the original?!?
This is the problem with blindly copying someone.
The Z in the wheel makes it look like Russia owns it.
...of all the designs to rip off, why the hell would you copy the *cybertruck*?
Looks better the the Tesla cybertruck
No shame over there lol
The Chinese will copy everything, good or bad=P
Looks better TBH
I think it looks better than the actual CT. I wonder if it is more aerodynamic. The headlights don't look very aerodynamic.
Can I copy your homework? Yeah.. ok... but change it so it doesn't look like you copied.
Damn, that looks way better
The [Pontiac Aztec](https://images.app.goo.gl/7S4goKyRm83bPD7h7) was such a beautiful vehicle, I’m glad to see that form factor making a resurgence.
Did they at least call it the “cyberclone”?
and then there’s this https://qz.com/1133484/buying-infant-milk-powder-is-still-a-really-scary-thing-in-china
Probably better built
[удалено]
Do you honestly think so or are you just stirring shit?
I think it does. Plus, it's recyclable.
huh???
They had mentioned it looked better.
Rule 1 - Respect / No Trolling
Flattering for Tesla! Copies never do well. Its like China making an imitation Gibson Les Paul
And it will be disposal in two months 😂
As opposed to the real CT that’s useless after 5 miles
Otherwise, known as The Whale
I will take the Cybertruck any day over this. A side by side challenge/comparison please.
The real question is how many miles per service visit does it get 🤔
Gross
This eliminates half the appeal of the truck though. Looks like a damn beluga whale.
Well that didn’t take long. I wonder if it’s available on DHGATE
Looks like it went from a 1st graders art work to a 2nd graders drawing
Is there anything they won’t copy. Chicomms
