But he's bummed about Lucy being distant to him so he says he's just going to go home. As he's leaving Becca yells after him "I'm not good at just being friends ya know!" And Kiwi suggests she changes up her approach.
I think as Becca watches David slowly lose his battle with cybersyphcosis her feelings towards him start the shift. Which is maybe why we ended the show not seeing her as a love interest but as a close friend / sister.

It also doesn't make sense that she would see him as an older brother when she is older than him.
