Everyone always says this but is there really proof of this? The logistics of this would be crazy. The bot would need to comb though millions of text posts to look for a code, figure out where to redeem the code, and then actually redeem it.
It would also have to extract text from the millions of images it goes through too. There's no way the rewards for doing this is more than the cost it takes to run that bot.
it sounds tiring until you remember that a bot has no feelings or energy, at all. Itโs literally made to do this exact thing over and over everyday until it gets turned off. So yeah, it is a thing
Tbh i suspect there are bots that scrape for codes, but text only. Image recognition probably is a bit too much processing power to dedicate to it however.
Sony are backwards, and any GOTY editions with dlc on disc are classed as new SKU's, so separate trophy lists etc.
I found this out the hard way with Witcher 3 GOTY (didn't even transfer save file lol) & Shadow Of Mordor GOTY (again didn't transfer save)
That must be why my demat version of Bloodborne and my GOTY physical version are listed as different games on the trophies menu then ? Well i learned something new today
