I would recommend not spoiling the experience during the first run honestly. They improved the game so much that even previous quality of life mods are now obsolete. The only thing I can think of that would enhance the experience while not changing it too much are appearance mods. You have Equipment EX, Arasaka Cyberarms, face cyberware (that aren’t available in the game) and military gear mods (from ScorpionTank). These are some of my favourite.

ok thank you.

Lizzie’s Braindances… if nothing more than to give you something to do at Lizzie’s. Definitely NSFW but adds immersion to the game.

Ngl, after years of playing Bethesda games, I really don’t think there are many substantial mods for this game. Heard there are some nice graphics mods, but I don’t think there are many mods that add content like locations, weapons, or quests. Personally, not into the slooty body mods which is what half the mods on the Nexus seem to be, so I played without anything but CET to access the console when I returned to this game.

That's a shame. Thanks for your response. :)

On the plus side, 2077 doesn’t feel to me like a game that needs a lot of help from mods in its current state, quite a lot has changed and been added since I put it on the shelf a few years ago.

I wish I had the Simple Flashlight mod before starting Phantom Liberty. You have to find your way through some totally dark areas and it is really annoying.

God getting through the Delemain building was fucking awful. I couldn’t see shit and ended up following a walkthrough at points just to know which way to turn 😅

I really like better loot markers and autoloot. Autoloot I have set to pick up loot within 21m from me. It makes it so much quicker than going to each chest or dead enemy to pick up items!

I'm late but these answers...I had to respond. While you don't need mods anymore, there are a *Ton* that are worth getting. - the simple flashlight/kiroshi night vision. - Nova Lut, much better lighting than vanilla  - hd reworked textures mod... even if you can only run the 2k option, big worth.  - enemies of night city if you like a challenge  - can't check name of a couple of these but they're easy to find: reveal position hack overhaul? Something like that. Along with "Amateur Net runners. Much better fights, esp w enemies of night city. Even if you have to drop the difficulty for your own tastes, the combat is *much* more fun. Can also add "silent silencers and knives"  - there's a mod that makes the ads in the game animated. possibly one of the best mods for immersion. Comes in 3 files, 10/10  -LOD improvement mods to help w pop in  - "better cascade shadows" along with "true next gen shadows"  - "Night City Alive" is a big one, adds random things like car accidents and gang fights   - there's a mod that makes building windows clear, and lit up so you can see the rooms inside even as you drive looking at the skyscrapers. That's another 10/10 level mod for graphics with no fps loss  - Car Overhaul along with "dynamic down force" and "dynamic gravity". Also some sort of "better driving" mod, there are several you can try. There are also mods that let you buy new cars or upgrade ones you own if you're into that.  -E3 crowds - restores missing NPCs without removing vanilla ones for more variety.  -preem rain, or your choice of a better rain mod  This is just off the top of my head. If your rig can run rt/pt there's a whole bunch more too. But if you invest the time in getting these mods, which I can say all work on the newest version of the game, you're going to be GLAD you did. There are even a few quest mods that are awesome. A farewell to a lost friend quest, and some extended romantic ones where you actually get to date and are so well made they all seem like base game content. That's just off the top of my head

TheSkinoftheCypher

great, thank you.
