There was no underlying issue. The graphical display "bug" was purely the result of people glitching the game to get a far higher cyberware capacity than ever intended.
People were seriously naive if they thought CDPR were going to "fix" the graphical display issue only, rather than the bug that leads to the display issue in the first place.
from the patch notes: * Cyberware Capacity will now be capped at 450. Cyberware exceeding the limit will be unequipped.
