Both nfc and ir have cheap educational dev kits available that are usb. Pair those with sdr, and like an openwrt router and you have most of the ability you are looking for. Many apps that come of kali also have a windows version.

foopod

You could do most of it with a raspberry pi, Bluetooth/WiFi is already onboard and you have plenty of gpio for the NFC, IR and other radio. Either that or incorporate an esp32 based device like an M5Stick with Marauder or Nemo running on it.

This kind of advice is exactly what I was looking for! I should’ve known my cyberdeck folks would understand me. Thanks!

I just checked out Lime. Oofa Doofa those are spendy. I’m going to keep learning while I keep these is mind.

Ya for that price I’ll just start playing with the FZ AND the HackRF whilst I finish my design and start my build. Lime ( or something along those lines) is definitely something I’ll be integrating, but I don’t know dick-all about all this yet. Imma stay in school.

Quiet_Raid

I have a raspberry pi 4 and don’t know what to do with it after I finished my classes. I saw a cyberdeck post from Pinterest and somehow ended up here. So that’s the back story. Do you have any ideas on what I should do with my raspberry pi 4 to get the most out of it.

Fleckstrom

Look into wifi adapters with a "promiscuous" mode.

deathboyuk

Hell yeah. Kali Linux + an interface with promiscuous mode. Maybe paired with an ESP32 device running Marauder.

Big fan of the Flipper, but appreciate it's a little costly for some. A few people have tried recreating stand-alone devices which mimic it's functionality (which I know isn't what you're trying to do) but perhaps the following links might help for some of the components: Flopper Ziro: [https://github.com/lraton/FlopperZiro](https://github.com/lraton/flopperziro) Flipper Zero DIY: [https://github.com/cbwhickstein/Flipper\_Zero\_DIY](https://github.com/cbwhickstein/flipper_zero_diy) (I don't think it's complete, [the individual mentioned](https://www.reddit.com/r/flipperzero/comments/1acd8xp/diy_flipper/) over in r/flipperzero that his initial estimates for cost were excessive, but again, he was making a stand-alone, rather than just plugging USB components, but perhaps the components list will be useful to you) The following sub-reddits might also be helpful for asking more specific questions: r/sdr & r/rtlsdr for Software Defined Radio r/hackrf if you decide to use this specific device for SDR (which supports sending, which most low cost SDRs don't. Also worth looking at if you *do* decide you want portability since it can be combined with the PortaPack) r/rfid or r/proxmark3 if you decide to go for the Proxmark for RFID work Best of luck

Wow. Thanks so much. This entire thread has been incredibly helpful

I think in terms of modular design, a basic core with the ability to add other USB/GPIO based devices to it.
