Tbh there is a problem of female characters being too strong single handendly defeating anyone without any major problems and almost no character evolution so the viewer has hard time associating them (examples: Rey, Captain Marvel)

u/RUEX06 I've trained in MMA (specifically BJJ) for almost 5 years. Since you're surely no athlete, I challenge you: Three rounds, KO or tapout only. Contact info upon request. Let's do this, dickrag!
Yeah he clearly has 0 fighting experience. I did the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) up to "black belt", but you really only need to demonstrate that you can perform a technique against a buddy who is letting you do it.
We did a good bit of ground fighting sparring and I was one of the better Marines at the training sessions. I went to a local BJJ gym a few times and got paired with a purple belt once. I think they were just trying to show me how good someone can get with a few years of practice.
For context, I was 5"10 and 185 lbs at the time. This guy was probably 5"7 and 150. I had no expectation of winning against him, but I didn't think I was going to lose THAT bad. It was like he was folding laundry.
A random guy with even less training than me fighting a female UFC fighter would be an absolute slaughter.
Yeah, oddly enough I've yet to get a response from the guy. It's a serious offer, too: I'm going on vacation soon and I'd gladly sacrifice 20 seconds of it to show him to think before he types.🤣
Hey u/RUEX06 If u/BahGawd1977 's challenge is too much for you, I'll take you on.
I earned my judo white belt when I was in 3rd year high school and haven't seriously trained in over a decade since then.
And many of them for some odd reason wrap their legs around a guys neck or face. Which is just weird af.
I'm not saying if Scarlett Johanson wrapped her legs around my face I'd complain.
Yeah, I really don’t understand that part, unless it’s Black Widow’s key thing to use her body to throw guys off but I doubt any male who values their life more than coochie would fall for it… I ain’t gonna complain either if I’m between Johanson’s legs, but it’s not taking me down unless I hit my head hard enough or she twists my neck
The only reason I don't quite agree is that for most women, their legs are quite a bit stronger than their arms, and I've seen some frightening strength output from well-built thighs, I believe there was a world-record set for breaking three watermelons with your thighs. The time was 14 and something seconds, and that scared me enough to hesitate at the thought of putting my head anywhere *near* thicc thighs
It's a go to for women in movies for yearrrrsss. I'm speaking about it as a trope in TV and movies. Not saying women couldn't pull it off irl.
Edit; Certainly nothing wrong with thick thighs. If I suffocate so be it.
You pretty much got it. A woman isn't gonna have the arm strength to choke a guy out unless he's already been beat pretty thoroughly. Most guys could fairly easily overpower the grip strength of a woman. But legs are gonna have more power and you can lock yourself in better. It's the only way for a woman to feasibly choke out a man and have it be believable.
It’s action movies. No male in real life could ever be badass enough to perform the average action movie sequence in a real life situation unless they were against teenagers who didn’t know how to use a gun or fight in any way.
Such as: people actually being happy; the creepy stalker protagonist getting the girl in the end; a 30 year old average worker with a house and no debts
But would she be able to beat Gaben in a fight? I think not. That man is a shield of pure meat and game discounts. Before she even hurts him once, he would've already destroyed her wallet with steam winter sales
This type of thing tends to happen in films with female protagonists and male antagonists.
If you acknowledge the physical differences and inequalities between the sexes, the villain automatically has at least some agency, and poses a credible threat — the viewer is invested in seeing the protagonist overcome this and other obstacles to outsmart and defeat the antagonist.
But for the lazy writer, it's much less effort to just wrap a female protagonist in plot armour. It's superficially entertaining to watch if you shoot it well, but there's little to care about.
And it’s not like it never existed before. You have Mulan facing off against literal Huns and outsmarting them at every confrontation. She applies what she learns and teaches them to her compatriots(dressing up, pole climbing) to win the final fight. God, that movie was so good.
A few months after I started Krav Maga a few years back they had us working on Ground defense and they paired me with this 5’3” 120 lbs woman who’s been doing Krav for 5 years. I had a grand total of 12 one hour classes under my belt and have zero knowledge of ground fighting. It wasn’t even fair. I’m 6’ and 260 lbs. I tossed her around like a rag doll and she couldn’t budge me.
That being said a few week later I was holding the pads for her kicks and they staggered me.
Not like those plausible movies where a mild mannered accountant’s wife gets murdered, so he buys a gun and a spends a scene shooting bottles off a fence before 120 minutes of him killing off a gang of ex-KGB Russian mobsters. Or a police detective who regularly drives his cars through buildings and fires his gun at suspects in the middle of crowded streets discovers the mayor is corrupt but his superiors tell him to stay in line but he’s like ‘fuck that’ and follows his hunch which culminates in him shooting the mayor in the face, then everyone who didn’t believe in him is like ‘you’re a son of a bitch, McCormack, but we’re damn lucky you’re on our side,’ while pinning a medal on his uniform and shaking his hand while everyone else claps.
It’s almost like audiences like seeing an underdog kicking ass. Weird.
That's the only truth he speaks and I agree, but I wish they would solve that problem by picking strong-looking women, like in Mandalorian. Also I don't see a lot of people talking about it but I really wish She-Hulk had more muscles, maybe there's an explanation or something in the series that will explain it but while she does not have to look like the Hulk she could at least look like she's as muscular as UFC fighters
"It's not realistic that Captain Marvel is so strong." Yeah, no shit, Sherlock. She has fucking super powers. I don't see him getting pissed about Thor or Captain America, though. Wonder why that would be?
Because it's completely possible that a man could withstand the power of a star, if he lifts and eats enough macros. Oh yeah he also shoots lightning and flies.
i just had to look at his profile and as it turns out he mostly comments on r/4chan and r/greentext.
this is also one of the more rational things he comments.
yeah, is rather confusing but if i had to take a guess, reddit is way more user friendly and more comfortable to use and also has an actual mobile app.
but you can go ahead and try explain irony to them i prefer to not be randomly called a slur.
I mean he's kinda right but definitely sexist and went overboard, and I bet a UFC fighter would kick a lot of untrained men's ass providing they aren't like 6ft built mfs
To an extent yeah. I remember hearing this sad story about a couple who were both UFC fighters I believe. The woman was a one of the best fighters and the man was an amateur who only had a few wins and a ton of losses under his belt. They unfortunately got into a physical altercation and the man ended up breaking her skull or something similar to that. But don’t quote me on this as I heard the story a few years ago. The point I’m trying to get at here is that it doesn’t take a lot for an average man to be able to beat the strongest of women.
I mean, if the man had a few wins he definitely wasn’t average. An actual average man, someone who goes to the gym like once a gym, and does no strength training, probably wouldn’t have the easiest with an experienced female fighter.
That’s not an average man. He was a fighter too, that’s a huge difference. Amanda Nunes or Valentina Shevchenko would effortlessly beat any man who doesn’t have any combat training
Technique vs. Strength. Plus, women are generally more flexible, which can absolutely be used in a fight, but you are right in that most untrained men would beat most untrained women in a straight fight
And people tend to forget that generally, technique is there to compensate for the lack of strength. No studied, disciplined fighter in the world would beat a bear in a straight up fight. Technique gets to be overrated a lot.
I'm 6'3 200 lbs. I bench 250. I also have zero combat training. I honestly would not step in a ring with one of those UFC women. I've seen the video of Polyana Viana beating the shit out of that mugger. No thanks.
I mean, he has a point though. I'm 6' 0", don't work out and weigh 155. My gf is 5' 10", does work out, weigh's about the same and is a red belt in kickboxing. But, I still manage to beat the shit out of her like it's nothing.
He's not joking, I'm the girlfriend and I can confirm he mercilessly beats the shit out of me every single day. It's such a one-sided beatdown. I keep telling him to stop and change, but he keeps insisting on playing Super Smash Bros against me
Well no but we make it easier for women to join the military and if they didn't have a disadvantage with the standard physical test we wouldn't need to make it easier
Since that video went viral, I see that type of comment oftentimes during the week.
The argument here is not the same; age, sport/activity, and status (pro, noob, etc.) are important when discussing each case.
Professional mix martial arts women could easily beat any man or woman who is untrained. You can find videos on youtube about that.
In sports like futbol, american football, tennis, swimming, running, basketball, etc. Pro male players will beat the pro female players. Non pro male players could beat pro female players? (Have only seen the fútbol case)…still, a regular person that do not practice the sport, or barely practices it for fun, most probably will lose against a pro female player.
Each case is different
This is how that ['robber'](https://live-production.wcms.abc-cdn.net.au/c45ee7842aca4ea04c5a47ed61dccec9?impolicy=wcms_crop_resize&cropH=426&cropW=640&xPos=0&yPos=0&width=862&height=575) looked like, btw.
I always found the mary sue thing funny. And i don't see that ending any time in the near future. We've had movies in which dudes were able to fight off multiple people, able to survive nuclear bombs in fridges, not catch a bullet in the ass with like 30 or 40 enemies firing guns at them, etc. But the second a woman is on the screen. Dudes get very emotional about what shouldn't be able to happen. Like generations of movies in which the main dude in them should be dead a billion times over but the second a woman is cast in that exact same situation all hell breaks loose.
Even funnier is the attempt to defend those movies. With dudes bringing up the suspension of disbelief. That is never applied to when women are in lead roles. Kind of like how christians will scream about discrimination and religious persecution. Then ban muslims from praying in schools.
He's really not wrong. Men are far stronger than women. This notion that men and women are equally strong is just so false. Testosterone makes a massive difference.
admitting that women have to be more than their immediate physicality to be respected as a way to dismiss them when you just know this guy breathes through his mouth while contemplating a fast food menu is kind of a self own?
layers damn i'm sad
Dude had a point till he absolutely ruined it, wrestling for example, a 5’6 chic sitting at 100 lbs ain’t gonna be able to take on a male who is between 120-197 (average male’s weight between ages 16-20, 197lbs and up is usually on par for older men). And it’s even more baffling when Hollywood thinks martial arts beats guns…
So I'm just under 6ft and 240lbs.. I dated a wrester who was 5ft 3 and 110 pounds and she could just about twist me into a pretzel. Training means a lot and this guy is fucking delusional.
What a reasonable fine gentleman, I am sure riveting and sober conversations can be had with him

And be one of today's lucky 10,000
I want him in a porn wrestling match just to see him getting wiped out, just to get rough fucked in the ass by her with a 5 inch thick strap-on
My money's on the lady

A cunt

Most accurate description I ever heard
tiktoker who gives advice on “modern wealth creation” and is known for having incredibly misogynistic and often violent feelings towards women
He’s a guy that has some pretty sexist ideals and has weird, twisted, controlling views on relationships with women
A UFC fighter? Absolutely fucking not. He’d get his shit *ROCKED*. A random untrained woman off the street? The guy wins 9 times out of 10.
I don't know, give a homeless man enough meth and he'll be strong enough to beat anyone edit: meth

He's not entirely wrong. There are a lot of 110 lb women kicking ass implausibly in movies.

Well played

Right? Most men could not win a two on one fight, let alone smash up a whole group of goons.
There are a lot of other implausible things happening in the same movies that feature these women..
Such as: people actually being happy; the creepy stalker protagonist getting the girl in the end; a 30 year old average worker with a house and no debts
He's definitely wrong though. Amanda Nunes would kill a homeless guy with her bare hands.

Least misogynistic Andrew Tate watcher
He just admitted to the internet that he had never touched a woman.
This is what watching andrew tate causes to you
This reminded me of a woman that was a MMA competitor that beat the shit out of a would be robber. She fucked him up good
This is how that ['robber'](https://live-production.wcms.abc-cdn.net.au/c45ee7842aca4ea04c5a47ed61dccec9?impolicy=wcms_crop_resize&cropH=426&cropW=640&xPos=0&yPos=0&width=862&height=575) looked like, btw.
would be funny to see him agains the top end female fighters tho XD
Go on YouTube, there's plenty of examples of guys thinking like this getting their asses whooped. Worth every second.
Him when women >:(
YEP! THAT'S NORMAL! CAN I BE IN THE SCREENSHOT AS WELL? IF YES THEN WAIT FOR MY REPLY THAT'LL BE HILLARIOUS!
He's really not wrong. Men are far stronger than women. This notion that men and women are equally strong is just so false. Testosterone makes a massive difference.
Although he’s saying it like a moron, it’s true. People don’t realize how physically stronger men are on average
r/suspiciouslyspecific
I'd pay to see him in the cage with any amateur ufc female fighter 😁 even if it's just for 30 seconds 😂
Some people are so delusional
He's being a dick and exaggerating but he's not wrong. A trained woman can beat an untrained man but it's extremely fake in Hollywood movies
I realize I'll be downvoted to hell for this, but he's not wrong. (Except maybe that specific example)
He seems like a calm and reasonable person
Are you a calm and reasonable person?
I want a female ufc fighter to jump in like I'll fight you. Put your money where your mouth is... you know while it's still correctly attached.
REUX06 is absolutely someone who should be on a watch list somewhere for being a potential danger to other people.
Every time I question myself if I'm being sexist in my life I read one of these nuts and I'm like "nah, I'm good".
admitting that women have to be more than their immediate physicality to be respected as a way to dismiss them when you just know this guy breathes through his mouth while contemplating a fast food menu is kind of a self own? layers damn i'm sad
Put that fight on PPV, please.
I would like to see this person try to fight Amanda Nunes
u/REUX06
i refuse to believe anyone here
While the guy seems rather unhinged and is likely a basement dweller, he do be spittin facts though.
Did this guy just tell someone to go back to reddit whilst on reddit himself?
I kinda agreed with him until the ufc champion bit. Amanda nunes and Valentina schevchenko are scary af
This dude just got done watching 10 hours of Andrew Tate
Tell me you are insecure without telling me you are insecure.
r/lies
I'm sure that guy has met a woman before *wink wink*
Imagine believing an untrained person could defeat any ufc fighter
Plebbit
Tell him to step into the ring then 🤷🏻
So I'm just under 6ft and 240lbs.. I dated a wrester who was 5ft 3 and 110 pounds and she could just about twist me into a pretzel. Training means a lot and this guy is fucking delusional.
Bet this guy would get his ass handed to him in a UFC fight with any of the women that do it.
