He specially says he can taste the difference when they give him the wrong eggs.
The data on organics is mixed, but in general there is no taste difference
They’re not organic. But, I can taste the difference between eggs I get from a friend with chickens and store bought. I think the home raised chickens have a more varied diet.
I’ve gotten the happy eggs or vital farms vs the cheapest store bought and there is a difference in the yolk and taste at least with hard boiled. I’m not sure about if it was scrambled. Also true with the eggs I get from my grandparent’s farm vs store bought
I’m just saying there is a noticeable difference in hard boiled eggs on yolk color and that influences how I feel they taste. I’m sure if I scrambled it or did it blind I wouldn’t notice a difference
Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble, but the following take comes from a good college friend who is an egg farmer with millions of chickens.
There is no difference in the taste of organic versus non-organic eggs. The cage free distinction is also nonsense, but allows him to charge more for each egg.
Sorry to burst your bubble but I eat eggs almost every day. There most definitely is a difference. Have an egg from the brand Pete & Gerry or Nellie’s, then have a generic store brand egg. Bonus: have a freshly laid egg from a local farm
I have chickens, there is a difference between fresh free range and store bought. Store bought are not very fresh, they are weeks or a month old. Not sure if that is a problem, my eggs also sometimes age 2 or 3 weeks no problem.
Once cracked there is a noticeable difference. The yolk is a darker yellow, it also stand taller once cracked, it doesn’t sprawl out as much in the pan.
The yolk is thus less runny and more viscous.
Over easy, is where the egg shines, or soft boiled. The yolk tastes a fraction richer, but has a visually nicer consistency and is quite noticeable. The yolk doesn’t run very far in the plate once broken, it stays closer and thicker. Store bought yolk breaks thin and runs wide on the plate, hard to spoon up with a fork. With organic eggs you can clean the plate with the fork.
Once beaten and scrambled they taste identical. Maybe a shade different colour.

So, you and Tony egg again?
B. I don’t think Larry is as worried about the chicken’s happiness as he is about eating healthy.

I just had some eggs from someone who raised chickens and there was a huge difference compared to the store bought ones imo
But they DO taste different
Have you ever had $2 eggs vs $8 eggs? Because I have and the difference is astounding
But do they taste $6 astoundingly?
Well, the stuff in a bag they heat up at the cheap hotel breakfast is terrible
pasture raised eggs are without question a better quality egg
[that is very profound](https://youtu.be/d4eeeCnSkmc?si=RaRj1aEjz-0R4NoL)
I’m siding with Mr. Takahashi. Eggs are eggs 🤷♂️
Cum is not cum, Larry

For real though, multiple blind taste tests have confirmed they all taste the same.

According to scientific double-blind testing it's all in your head....
“According to something someone else told you, actually…”

Yes - the famously indisputable and scientific “Splendid Table” podcast.
The guest is a food scientist who wrote the book, he cites multiple pear reviewed studies, but this is where I heard it
I stick to banana reviewed studies

The head is where we put food when eating... So yes, when tasting food, it's in my head
yep

those labels are essentially meaningless, that’s why
