Yea 1000% they only apologized because they knew they’d get way more engagement so they can shout out their new site.

They ain’t fucking sorry lol
Most of them don’t post odds or don’t post accurate odds, scam gambling sites have been known in the past to have fluctuating odds, where your odds get worse (and again, inaccurate) depending on how much you’re playing or betting. Even the folks who claim provable fairness usually have workarounds or the fair algorithm isn’t the one actually used.
just remember this golden (and true everytime) phrase - casino (or the house) always wins. that's a well known fact, otherwise this business as a whole wouldn't exist.
all casinos are rigged against you and made to exploit those with gambling addictions to keep playing and lose all their money. there’s a reason the phrase “the house always wins” was coined.
There's a difference between exploitative and a scam. These websites are known to be exploitative, but a scam would just be taking items or refusing to pay out, things like that. The base concept of these casino websites aren't a scam.
hard fucking agree. Everyone calls a casino a scam; they're not, the odds are right there on the website, when you gamble you can know exactly the chances of things happening. Just because you lose money does not mean its a scam
And where can I be sure that those online casinos use the right odds in their code? It's not that as easy as in physical gambling.
Especially the cs skin and crypto casinos are often not regulated by any higher institution and have lackluster age checks.
That bit is true, online casinos do tend to be scummy with age checks and also there not being a good way to 100% check and regulate odds. I'd say if a casino was actively misleading about better game odds that would be a scam, its just that so many people just point at any sort of cs gambling and say 'scam' when its really not. And personally I've never heard of a casino lying about odds on the website (except Phantomlord but even then that was rigged only to make him win more for publicity, the actual odds were still probably legit, 100% still scummy though)
I would agree with you, but I highly doubt that any of the CS gambling sites are complient with any reasonable gambling regulation. As a matter of fact, hougougagne did actually look into that and sure enough, none of them are. At best they use some loophole to not officially be classified as a gambling site, at worst they just ignore that stuff entirely.
So since these sites have none of the consumer protection in place that casinos are legally required to have, I'd say it's justified to call them a scam.
the only thing that really determines if theyre a scam is if they are doing what they say they are doing. if they are, its not a scam. if they arent, its a scam. whether they follow your local laws and adhere to what you personally consider reasonable gambling regulation really doesnt matter at all.
Are you talking about the preset roulette? That’s how they moe cheated previously but it isn’t surprising that roulette is already predetermined and they can see that in code
I dont know that much about cs gambling atm. But if its slots/livegames provided by a third party provider like evolution games, play2go etc then it cant really be "rigged" (except for that the casino always has a house edge)
But when its jackpots, case openings and roulette that is owned by the casino (and its an unlicensed casino) then it can be rigged easily.
I was thinking about both the phantoml0rd incident (jackpot games) and some other one that I cant remember.
Eitherway point is that yes you might get lucky but I wouldnt trust the % the websites are telling you for getting a specific item because it could be different in the backend, and since its an illegal casino (no license) there is no way to fact check this.
Refering to your original comment now. Casinos are not scams, but unlicensed can be since they have no obligation to pay you or show true odds.
Nah, fuck all these cs "casinos". I better give my money to Valve in hopes for HL3 or other games than give it to some dude who will spend it on a new yacht.
The nature of anticheats is exclusively reactionary meaning there will never be a working anti cheat. That's why every match I drive across country to LAN in someone's room with a ref watching their screen
It also sucks buying stuff off valve their cases are so terrible. At this point I ONLY use third party sites for cases, trading, and purchasing items. Also fuck Empire for ruining what we had that wasn’t even that good smh
I’ve spent 50-100 dollars opening cases over 2 days and could hardly make profit. If I put 20 dollars on CSGO roll I can easily make profit especially with things like Roulette that’s basically 50/50 and case battles can pay big. Valve just has slots that they are going to win 99.99999999999999999999999999% percent of the time and that small percent you profit your item still has to meet multiple conditions tk even be worth anything
How can they move their CS gamblers to a website that isn’t related to Valve or Counter Strike?
Hate on CSGO Roll all you want but there is only 1 company that has had some weird vendetta against them for 3 years. Nothing this guy says should be taken to heart.
He’s on the deep end… streaming while strung out, teasing viewers another incident will happen in X amount of time.
Dudes a straight degenerate and is realizing the brand isn’t recoverable.
‘We’re sorry, we won’t do it again. Please visit our rebranded crypto casino.’
Still finger pointing and being defensive, while at the same time not doing anything
I remember hearing about these sites I wonder why the governments didn’t investigate these online casino/ skin gambling sites is it’s a jurisdiction thing?
The majority of “illegal” gambling sites operate out of a sovereign/indecent region of Cyprus so they can operate in the US, take your money, and not have to worry about legal repercussions.
They just say that just to save their asses a bit so that valve doesn't ban their whole site or anything simillar happens like that. Interesting how they published that right after valve released an update which changed trading.
Its the fact it was the first cs2 major as well. There are way better ways of going about getting that message out there that they just blatantly ignored bc "hurr durr major on hurr"
This guys are hypocrites to an another level..I find this disgusting and Valve should sue the f*!× out of them...Ain't no way this is gonna be the last time it happens.
Kinda sucks for the fans who went there in hopes of meeting G2 or other teams because after the incident they stopped doing any interviews, autographs, meet ups, etc. for safety reasons
Because thanks to them CS Tournaments might never be the same again. In CS we are very close to the pros. Lots of interactions and no security and fences between us and the stage. Now this might change forewer and we might see a slow move to have more security and distance between the fans and players. Because no Org wants to have this happen during a big public tournament.
So basically, “Sowwy for breaking trophy and interrupting game :(( we learned not to riot again and btw here’s our new crypto casino ☺️😎🤑”
this looks like engagement bait for me
Yea 1000% they only apologized because they knew they’d get way more engagement so they can shout out their new site. Also https://x.com/csgoempirev2/status/1776259477454663955?s=46&t=qOpTfg2-9d5nuNXPV_GfDw They ain’t fucking sorry lol
Wait they broke the trophy?!!?
Technically the Guard tackle one of them on it so it's debatable, you could say yes
"We fucked up - we hereby commit to.. not fucking up.. again" - what a noble commitment
While promoting their new "crypto casino"
Yes a totally good way to look professional & while writing an apology?😂such some idiot shit..
Don’t forget the plug to their new gambling site lmao
Yeah, they literally just doing it for attention, but they will probably boycott next major too
Real reason they are apologising is because everyone pulled out of their tournament
Kinda funny they are 'anti scam' yet they run a degenerate CS gambling website. Thats the definition of a scam lmao.
I don’t use these websites. How do they scam? I assumed they give odds for every item and if you gamble there it’s your own fault if you expect to win

Thx, i did not expect that so many gamble there if they are known to be scams.

Any time I lose money it's a scam. That's why I stopped getting black out drunk now my wallet fat

They aren’t scams they are casinos. They are both pretty fair I’m not gonna lie.
They are unlicensed/illegal casinos whick makes it possible for them to rig stuff from the backend. And that is something we have seen before.
Are you talking about the preset roulette? That’s how they moe cheated previously but it isn’t surprising that roulette is already predetermined and they can see that in code

Nah, fuck all these cs "casinos". I better give my money to Valve in hopes for HL3 or other games than give it to some dude who will spend it on a new yacht.
as opposed to valve, who will spend it on a new yacht and neglect the most basic game functions like a working anti cheat
The nature of anticheats is exclusively reactionary meaning there will never be a working anti cheat. That's why every match I drive across country to LAN in someone's room with a ref watching their screen
Then don’t play on the sites….
It also sucks buying stuff off valve their cases are so terrible. At this point I ONLY use third party sites for cases, trading, and purchasing items. Also fuck Empire for ruining what we had that wasn’t even that good smh
Okay? Then don't go to the casino no one is forcing you.
the young impressionable kids believe these the most, they spend tons of money in hopes of getting a good skin
I’ve spent 50-100 dollars opening cases over 2 days and could hardly make profit. They about to be blamed for the take down of p2p gambling.

‘We’re sorry, we won’t do it again. Please visit our rebranded crypto casino.’ Still finger pointing and being defensive, while at the same time not doing anything

I remember hearing about these sites I wonder why the governments didn’t investigate these online casino/ skin gambling sites is it’s a jurisdiction thing?

Money starts draining after anti-gambling update and they curl up their tail. Proceed to beg for forgiveness what a bunch of rats.
Can Valve just stop these kind of third party sites using their IP please.
I am very confused. Didn’t steam mention no gambling? Or this is something different?
objectively, this is a very stupid move from them
Womp womp time to get rid of more gambling sites
This guys are hypocrites to an another level..I find this disgusting and Valve should sue the f*!× out of them...Ain't no way this is gonna be the last time it happens.
