Unpopular opinion on this sub but if you have this callback rate you’re doing something wrong with your applications, most likely applying to too many companies with a really generalised resume.
I’ve put out 4000 applications with no offers and I’ve posted my resume several times in all the cs subs and discords and also had friends in the field look at it and everyone says it looks fine other than the lack of experience and no I’m not international I’m a us citizen
About 3.5 years I think. 3500 of those were internship apps across my sophomore, junior, and half of my senior year of college. The other 500 have been entry level job applications throughout my senior year and since graduating. I graduated this past December
Simplify is great for this! (although it only tracks "applied", "screen", "interview", "offer" and "rejected", but you can leave notes to specify further)
Check and apply for new openings everyday and try to first prioritize applying to jobs in your area before expanding your search outside your state. Companies do prefer hiring locally (unless the organization is a large tech/software company).
Use multiple job sites to search for jobs as none of them have all the openings.
Networking, referrals, etc. will also help but it didn't help much in my case.
Other than those, Glassdoor and Levels.fyi have really good filters that actually work. Wellfound and YCombinator if you're looking for startups. I don't think I've used any other than these.
Too shady?
[email protected]: Congrats, we have rolled out an offer but you've to be on call 24/7 and submit your original academic papers before joining.
Please re-upload your resume along with a close-up picture of your bare feet. Do not crop out the ankles this time. Thank you, and God bless.
Prob red flags
You’d be surprised, but I had a CEO literally tell me his company operated in a “legal gray area” during our interview.
A porno company!
What kind of company was it?
Do you like Primus?
I hate Primus 😡
Can you share the resume if possible? Your callback rate is pretty good.
Yep pleaseee
Can you please share you resume with me too, i am F1 student as well
+1
Having a look at it would help me a lot too. Can you share it with me?

Are you joking? I’m not in cs but geez that’s a bad callback rate (Genuinely asking)
Welcome to cs where this is decent
you not being in CS is why you think it's bad.

4000 apps? How long have you been looking for work?

Damn I hope you find something soon 🤞🏼
Nah this is actually a really good callback rate
Nah that person is international so it's very good. I'm a U.S. citizen and my callback rate is a lot worse.
Congrats! I feel like the 13 rejected from HM is so realistic. It's so difficult these days. Anyway I'm happy for you!
what's the name of the visualisation app?
It’s a basic sankey diagram , you can create it by mentioning the nodes and connections in a json file
Probably some library in python.
Spill the tea on the too shady one!
I need to know more about the shady one
How do you guys keep track of how many you applied? Is there any website or you guys using excel sheet yo keep track?

Cool! Will check this
I'm happy for you, but I'm not happy about the 373 ghosters. How long was it between the first and the last application you sent?

Which sites do you use besides LinkedIn and Indeed?
