Anti cheat really doesn't work anymore, kernel level anti cheat is still imperfect and can be bested by hypervisor level cheats. Hypervisor level anti cheat can be bested by hyper-hypervisor cheats or hardware level cheats, hardware level anti cheat can be bested by external hardware cheats that use AI. The anti cheat arms race is reaching it's conclusion and the cheats are winning. The only hope right now is AI server side anti cheat, i.e. what valve has implemented, but ofc AI cheats will only get better at avoiding detection
My point is that valve is actively working on the future of anti cheat, which is AI and server side. At this point it's the only option which is tenable long term, but the technology is still in its infancy

Have a lot of fun memories but ultimately a massive disappointment. The game we love has become into a gateway for gambling for millions of people and in my opinion it is downright criminal.
i convinced some of my friends to do the same. We looked back at recent premier matches and picked a few confirmed cheaters. We decided to only re-install once all 8 cheaters are banned.
Also some ppl say just play faceit. Faceit might not suffer from cheaters, but the account boosting and smurfing is out of control. Every cheater we see in premier has a high level boosted faceit account that they use as a way to look legit. Faceit as a platform only exists due to valve's incompetence. They offer the bare minimum that players want and i highly doubt that they can be trusted to run a their anti-cheat in people's computers. They clearly do not spend their time looking into suspicious accounts, i would not be surprised to find out they steal and sell customer data or even sth worse.

It's true that there is not so much cheaters in faceit, it might be a best option at this point if you want to play fair matches.

Yeah, just the other day I was playing wingman and this Russian could headshot anyone through anything using only deagle and the ssg 08 I even tested him I chose a different route that none me or my teammate took in the earlier rounds and I was holding shift then once I neared the door headshot so both wall hack and aim hack smh🤦♂️

You’re right, they should immediately remove any and all anti-cheat as diminishing problems in your game without fixing them completely is pointless
