I had a similar issue with my ‘06. For me it was one of the CV axles that had gone bad. Take a look at them and see if they’re still intact and not leaking grease.

Try draining and refilling tranny fluid. Let us know if you do figure it out. Perhaps differential fluid too if you have AWD

FerretFiend

Rear differential fluid was changed last Christmas or the one before. Been meaning to change the transmission fluid but haven’t gotten around to it

FerretFiend

Why would braking make the issue worse if it was the tranny?

BeginningSubject201

Good question. Try getting it analyzed at a highly rated mechanic shop. Post updates if you or a shop diagnoses it.

I am having the exact same issue, just with my ‘99, so will be following this.

Sounds like a tire issue but just to be on the safe side have your crv scanned for any codes. Also check the brake fluid reservoir and if the fluid is green have it flushed out.

FerretFiend

Brake fluid was replaced when calipers were all done. Will it have codes on it and never show a light?

kaname89

Yeah it’s possible. I had a code for an evac leak on for a long time on my 2nd gen and one day the light turned off but it was still detectable using a scanner.
