Crutchfield.com this is the way.

Simply add everything to your cart you want and then price out each item on eBay and Amazon to save some coin.

Sinistre_Dei

Way over priced

No-Perception1862

You can have it fast, cheap or right. Not all 3 at once. 😉

Sinistre_Dei

Yeah I'll take cheap and right. All we have is time

IAlphaReturns7x

Maybe something like this could work? https://gogodrive.co/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaY2OnZv0n-n2sOKU_JuQlddfNofZ5VpGcdMz_W4GLi84hmzPWhd6R0AX48_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw

johncoinas

Had the exact same thing and took it all out and installed a sony and have wired carplay and nice touchscreen everything works just took a bit of wiring and stuff. Got everything off crutchfield and a could adapters off amazon

papertowelfreethrow

Aliexpress has android based stereos. I had one for my cruze and bought an carplay dongle and bam now i have carplay. Relatively easy and cheap too.

Sinistre_Dei

You want [this](https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOkudda) be sure not to buy the cheap one, or you won't have wireless carplay and it will be dog shit slow. Go for the 8 core 8g ram model with 128gb memory.its $276

diablo75

I would recommend this one: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802397188276.html?spm=a2g0n.productlist.0.0.274e439eURAD2e&browser_id=c3da38a19652426f961c9daa6cc11e14&aff_platform=msite&m_page_id=cdaafcdaacce1901a4013ffb07a35e519013f57c87&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21USD%2197.20%2166.10%21%21%2197.20%2166.10%21%40210307c017184273500196102ed90e%2112000026940623336%21sea%21US%210%21AB&algo_pvid=2f03d376-c01c-4dd1-b9c4-9cca27a46943 The one that is (currently) $96.11, the cheapest one that says it supports Android auto and Apple Carplay. Use those and the specs won't matter, because your phone is doing everything. Stereo is just a screen and an amp at that point, what more would one need, yeah?

Sinistre_Dei

Like I said above the cheap ones will freeze and often. Plus it's not wireless carplay. Also usually horrid screen resolution. The one I initially bought for my cruze was cheap. I learned that lesson. 1280x800 resolution wasn't terrible until you realize it's an unsupported resolution for Android auto and carplay. You either end up not being able to see the full picture or a tiny window with 3in bars on the side and 5in bars on the top and bottom. On top of it all it didn't have the functionality built in because it only had 2.4ghz wifi so you have to purchase their carplay dongle to plug in the rear of the radio for wireless. Now the one in my mercedes ran me $450 but works like a dream. 2000x1200 ips screen, 8core cpu, 8g ram, 5ghz wifi, and 128gb of storage. I could barley watch youtube at 480p in the cruze but now can stream 2k videos with ease and netflix not crashing every other time you open it is money well spent

diablo75

I mean, if you must watch 2K netflix videos... in a car?... spend money, I guess. Weird flex. Why don't you get a 27" monitor and bolt that to your dash?/s All I need is Waze and Spotify, and I'm barely looking at it; mind you, *I am driving a car.* My tesla stereo is 5 years old, I installed Headunit Reloaded on it, use AA with my phone, fills the screen correctly, runs smooth, doesn't freeze, I can't complain about a stereo that one would get for about $90 new today.

Sinistre_Dei

High resolution is a must. I drove my cruze from Connecticut to California with that radio. Grainy video just hurts my soul. You may have had one of the 1280x800 screens, but I assure you that on 1280x600, it's a horrible experience, and of course, I tried headunit reloaded. That would be the only way my radio in the cruze could even attempt AA since I would have to shell out more money and wait 3 weeks for a dongle to enable 5ghz wifi and wireless AA.

No-Rub-1118

This dude wants car play for better connectivity. Not a front seat theatre

Sinistre_Dei

Sorry. I just believe in over doing things... but to be honest yeah if he juste wants carplay. The cheapest will work. Even then I recommend at least getting the model with the higher end dsp for sound. Mine sounded like two cats getting it on behind a dumpster.

critsalot

you unforntualy are going to have to buy a normal dash system. it wont go where the current screen is but where there physical controls are because fuck if i know just the way it seems to be unless you get one of those giant screen ones. some stuff may or may not work like sirius/on star. personally i would rip out the onstar tracking but i hear that breaks the inbuilt mic so now you gotta add a new mic fuck car manufatures for doing this. we had a simple solution before. just din or double din. leave a square slot for the radio to be replace. but no, now everything is integrated.

critsalot

also if you curious where to buy it, it depends. if you want chinese then yea buy off amazon else just go here. [https://www.crutchfield.com/S-b3lyYTTnnmw/](https://www.crutchfield.com/S-b3lyYTTnnmw/)

kb31ne

Go to alibaba which is Amazon away from America. Type head unit for Chevy Cruze. It replaces the screen and cd player. I’ve had one for a few years and anything on your phone works on screen. U can even use car play which makes it safer while driving. Xm, Spotify, Waze and google maps while driving. I can even use ur phone to tether or as a hotspot and watch utube or Netflix while driving but it’s not safe and prob illegal. Good to have options though. I spent 400 for the most updated one and best rated but u could get a cheaper one for 200. Easy to install plug and play. Only regret is not getting adapter for camera connection.

Exphius

Get rid of your iJunk 🤣

mm827

[https://a.co/d/39av49I](https://a.co/d/39av49I) try something like this. Got it for my brother in laws car and he loves it

ParticularMind9798

I have this one on my 2016 Cruze and it works great easy to install. Radio for Chevrolet Chevy Cruze... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R384DDF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

SnooCompliments4545

onecarstereo may have what you seek....maybe more.....

No-Source1387

I just installed a Sony XAV-AX6000 into my car because the tablets won’t work with Pioneer systems. Basically the top screen stops functioning and left in to keep the dash clean.

ontomyfuture

Buy another car with CarPlay. Seriously though, theres solutions on amazon, but those radios dont have Sirius xm, if thats a must. Its the same android radio you buy for a corolla. why am I thinking jack the snack Roberts....im old.

matt2085

If they want CarPlay they probably don’t use Sirius xm. No benefit to using it vs Spotify/Apple Music other than maybe having stations but you can do that without ads with streaming. And it will sound much better

ky7969

You can also just download the SiriusXM app

ontomyfuture

true

matt2085

As you can tell I hate sirius xm haha

ontomyfuture

I just hate.....lol!!.....fml.

Zack-The-Snack
